INTRODUCTION: What is Conscious Living?
Here you are, you’re reading a e-book containing at least 365 conscious living
quotes. An e-book that’s now been re-titled, because no-one seemingly understood the original, clever
title. An e-book that’s been carefully compiled by me, Steve M Nash, after I literally sifted through tens of thousands of inspirational quotes over a ten-year period.
Here I am, I’m wondering if you know what conscious living is. And if you do know, I’m wondering whether your idea of conscious living – your definition – is the same as mine. I’m wondering, too, whether definitions – meanings – even matter.
Let’s have a little look at possible meanings, anyway – let’s be a little bit curious. And let’s start with what conscious living likely isn’t:
Conscious living has nothing to do with feeling superior to someone, or different to them, or with comparing your state of consciousness (or spiritual grounding or emotional intelligence) with theirs.
Nor is conscious living a pursuit of good vibrations
– an unquenchable desire for ever-deepening bliss and connection. (What? Say it ain’t so!)
Nor is conscious living about how many spiritual books
you’ve read, or the number of years in your spiritual journey
. (Aw shucks! )
Okay, now let’s look at what conscious living likely is:
Self-less living: A continuous letting go of the invented, imagined self – that small, self-obsessed, self-referring one – and a trusting in That Which Always Remains. Just YOU, just HERE, just NOW.
Blameless
