This book is for a do-it-yourself entrepreneur. You have that burning business idea inside you, that you just need to get out. But you do not know where to start. This is it, this is where you start.

Do you need a professional business plan for funding purposes? Do you have hundreds or even thousands of dollars to pay for one to be completed for you? If no, then this is for you.

    CHAPTER 1

    Business Planning

In this book, you will learn how to complete a professional business plan. Visit my website www.mariasconsulting.co.nz to receive you templates and I will walk you through the process of completing it. It is a standard template that can be used for any small business.

First and most important is your audience! Who will read your business plan? Are you creating it for yourself? To help get your ideas focused and down on paper. To try to create your business or implement new ideas into an existing small business.  Or are you creating it for someone else to read or an organisation to get funding such as a bank or an investor?

Depending on who your audience is, this will dictate how you will create your business plan. If it is for you, it can be more informal and the editing does not have to be perfect, your business plan can be a story written in your voice, you can make it fun by adding colour or pictures, adding a bit of personality.

If you are creating this plan with the sole purpose of receiving funding, then you must keep this in mind. Add colour, photos, charts, boxes, graphs etc. Even though this is a template I like to see creative plans not just the writing and content. In this plan if you come across a subject/title that has
