You’re so Much More than Just a Good Woman

Ladies, someone has to say it louder for the men in the back. You know, the ones who want you to treat them like a husband without making you their wife. You are God’s child, ladies, so you follow His rules! We all hear the typical stereotypes of how a good woman should be. I mean, for crying out loud, we literally get hounded with these horror stories from childhood. As if just trying to make it through puberty isn’t hard enough! Good women cook, good women clean, good women are loyal, good women do this (a ton of boring things), and good women don’t do that (almost every fun thing that every normal person wants to do). I can’t leave my favorite one out, good women are submissive. We are told to submit to our husbands, not every man we date. This is found in NKJV Bible Ephesians 5:22-24. Now we all know that this list can go on forever. Why even bother, it’s so dreadful!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but here goes: Being a good woman just isn’t good enough. Before you strangle me, let me just show you how I know my conclusion is true.
