    Acknowledgment to Benjamin David Reed

Right from the beginning it was the move of the Holy Spirit that brought all these writings before you. Benjamin was inspired greatly only a few short years ago to write down his search findings about the scriptures, that the Holy Spirit (the Father, who is the Holy Spirit) moved him to explore in great detail in Strongs Exhaustive Concordance and other books as he discovered them.

He has been truly led by the Holy Spirit, Abba Father, to explore the truth of the words he felt were straight from the Father Himself.

These studies are a testament to how the Father moves us in our daily lives to find these nuggets that point to Him, the Great I Am that I Am. While I was working in a law office for some time, I grew to appreciate the exact nature of pinning down a key clause in each document that would prove or disprove a client’s case. The exact nature of the exploration or proper names and words for example: LORD, or Christos, or Y’shua. All these names and words have been passed down to us through the Greek, Aramaic, or Hebrew languages: some have been translated into English well, while others have been badly misconstrued and thereby we have key deception activated in the hearts of readers in all the translated bibles.

Benjamin has steadfastly plowed into many key words and phrases and found the continuing thread of truth from the old to the new testaments. He has stated many times that the Father’s Torah has not changed in any way since He gave it to the children of Israel at the time of the Exodus from Egypt. It has truly been amazing to discover these nuggets through Benjamin’s diligent study of all the scriptures that he has been led to by the Father, Yahuah, through His son, Yahusha.

It has been a privilege to be the scribe in these instances and disclosure of the Father’s constancy in all His words, has been truly wonderful to discover through Benjamin’s work in A Truth Revealed and A Study in Righteousness that he recently completed in December, 2013. As we have been working as a team in putting these studies together, I feel very strongly, that if there ever was a legal view point put forward, regarding the Father’s Torah or Law, as came down from Mount Sinai approximately 4,000 years ago, it would, once more, set legal precidence over laws fabricated by men, since that time.

I pray you would begin to appreciate the magnitude of the Father Yahuah’s concern for us to stay rooted in His Torah, because He gave it to us as a Father, who looks after His creation very well, including discipline in every area of our lives. I pray that you would hold these truths, as the heart and soul of your very being and happiness as you explore the Father’s mind and heart in all His creation, through His precious Word. I thank you for taking the time to explore for yourself the very truths on which our nations were founded.

    Preamble

While we have presented some information in the forward there are pieces of information that need to be expanded. We are presenting this information for your perusal as a learning tool. This is to ensure that while the reader has always some difficulties with the sources of these documents, the reader must judge for himself or herself what to receive and how to receive. Ultimately, a choice must be made in the telling of this information. Therefore, we recommend you guard your heart for it is the doorway to the soul and ultimately, as your soul demands the answers to questions of the heart, you must be aware that we can help you sort this information by the awakening of your spiritual eyes and that only the Father’s direction will create right thinking at the beginning of your journey.

We will endeavor to show you by the fruits of the true Holy Spirit; that is love, joy, peace, truth and His righteousness, discernment which is God given. Now to Him, who is able to set you free from all wicked purposes and diverse interruptions, shall be the way, truth and life in order that His children are washed clean of all sinful acts, that you may be found worthy to enter the holy of holies in His Heaven forever more. As you protect yourself with the Lord’s Prayer, initially spoken and taught by the Yeshua Ha Machiach in Matthew 6:9-13.

Today more than at every other time, there is no physical escape from the evil prevalent in the world, only Adonai, Yehovah’s grace and strength through His son, Yahusha. We earnestly recommend you start that way, as trouble has a habit of looking for the weakest link in our armour. So we recommend this prayer be said out loud in the presence of the unseen dark lord’s presence. Yahshua’s blood that was spilt on Calvary is still alive and well, protecting all those who sincerely believe that He truly exists even now. Revelations 12:11. As you encounter difficulties in reading these words, know He waits for you to speak to Him and receive His wise words of truth to set you free from the mindset of many thoughts and lies from the evil one. We are with you always as you strive to understand His loving concern for you. Thank you for listening, my children. Amen.

    Forward

It is most obvious that we are living in the most interesting time of history and I have come to believe that it is His story. While most of the population sleeps through the events of twentieth century, we cannot ignore the birth pangs of a time that forces one to ask why, is this time in history so extreme?

The KJV bible gives us a broad description and many clues as to how to survive these calamitous events to come. While we ponder these events of the twentieth century we may ask why this does happen now.

The answer lies with our creator who made heaven and earth. The enemy of our souls has twisted and destroyed the only time table worth looking at and he has deceived the nations who have bought the lies of the good life through Mystery Babylon. The creator’s timetable will not only show you why we are going through these trials but will begin to fill in the gaps as to when and how He is going to redeem a portion of mankind from the very grasp of a powerful destructive race of children from the seed between fallen angels and the daughters of man—in other words a mixture of clay and iron that cannot endure together because the greed of these progeny which cannot share the wealth that Yahuah, our Father has provided.

This book will deliver into your hands the means of not only surviving but conquering these foes who have sought to destroy all mankind right from the beginning, when Eve took the first bite of the fruit of the vine of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. This book will answer many questions that deliver into the hands of many, the truth about our original mandate on earth, given by Yahuah; with many references that were once hidden from the general public by the Laodicean Church and then the Vatican and Roman Catholic Church. Some of these books called the Apocrypha were released recently in 1947and sometime later in the 1960’s and will fill in the some of the gaps.

Once you try to understand the beginning, the culmination of the ages will begin to make much sense to you the reader. Many references will be provided to you, to challenge and prove in all of these messages. I might add that many books have been written on this subject, and they all have a piece of the puzzle of Why. Because, He, Yahuah/Yahusha is the Why from the beginning of mankind; He is where we have begun to search out the truth as to how.

We know that Yahusha, Yahweh, was sent to confirm to the world that we are fallen races of mankind. There is no greater time in history to be alive. We dwell on the earth amidst chaos and destruction of fallen man, only to ask the question why. He has the answer to how and why, because Yahuah, Yahweh, or Jehovah, does actually love us, as witnessed by the Children of Israel and their walk in the wilderness for forty years, circa 3500 years ago.

We can survive this time by focusing on His truth and His story. We can once more discover the `Why``, He created mankind the way He did. Going back to the beginning will help the reader discover how these last great events fit together, and by tying this together we can finally understand the Who, what, why, when and how.

The ``How`` will astound you and complete your journey as you endure these events to come.

Dear reader, we desire to help you discover that all these events serve only to perfect those who have chosen a way of life exemplified by Yahusha, who was the perfect sacrifice. Being the perfect sacrifice, He came to demonstrate why we can live as transformed human beings without going against the `Why`` of Yahuah who created us in the first place.

When one considers the difficulties facing each individual human being, the answer for calamities, the revelations by Yahuah, Yahusha will illuminate your mind and most importantly your heart--all of this for us.

As a Father of multitudes of children, Yahuah must deliver strong consequences to correct these strong diversions built up over the ages by His strong left hand, Satan. How we can reconcile all of these destructive events depends on how close to the Father is close, that we want to be. That choice is up to each individual person.

We are at the dawn of incredible illumination by the masterful imprint of the Father Yahuah’s hand in our individual lives. If one focuses on His timetable, then you will see for yourself what He intended in the first place. He will romance your soul, He will thrill your soul and fill your heart with incredible joy as you partake in the greatest journey there ever was. Discover His truth and you discover your own destiny and purpose for living. I can only speculate at best, but as I live, one more day at a time, His gentle loving patience has kept me from falling through the cracks of life and spared me from the pit of hell itself. How do I know that? He has told me Himself.

The following scriptures are a study on the Names of God, and Jesus as they have been mistranslated over the centuries to deceive readers of the scriptures. Translations back and forth between the Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic languages have produced much confusion amongst students of the Bible as we know it. The King James Version has been used extensively through this book and we ask you to study this for yourself to be sure of who you are actually reading about.

I John 2:6-7 (6) He that said he stays in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. (7) Brothers, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you have heard from the beginning.

    commandments.

Name Changes of Yeshua, Through Translation

The one thing that stands out in all bible translations is how we are calling Yeshua, in the King James Bible; Messiah’s name is stated as Jesus. Greek translators could not translate Yeshua because the Y was as an I in Iesos, which translated into English came to be Jesus. The following scriptures are offered as an example of how the hebrew texts in the new testament were translated after this time, into Greek spelling and pronunciation. Messiah is translated into Messios, which is understandable, so let us begin: (See www.fossilizedcustoms.com and google Rabbi Lew White)

Romans 10:4 ⁴For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes.

Romans 10:4 (Jewish New Testament) For the goal at which the Torah aims is the Messiah, who offers righteousness to everyone who trusts.

Yeshua is our creator and our goal or destination. We were created in his image. Genesis 1:27. So Elo’ah created man in his own image, in the image of Elo’ah created he him; Genesis 3:22. And the Elo’ah said, behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever.

    I John 5:1-3

¹Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loves him that begat loves him also that is begotten of him. ²By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. ³For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

I John 5:1-4 (Jewish New Testament)

¹Everyone who believes that Yeshua is the Messiah has God as his Father and everyone who loves his father loves his offspring too. ²Here is how we know we love God’s children: when we love God, we also do what He commands. ³For loving God means obeying His commands. Moreover, his commands are not burdensome, ⁴because everything that has God as its Father, overcomes the world.

    Acts 3:19-21 (Jewish New Testament)

¹⁹Therefore, repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be erased. ²⁰So that times of refreshing, may come from the Lord’s presence, and he may send the Messiah appointed in advance for you, that is, Yeshua. ²¹He has to remain in heaven, until the time comes for restoring everything, as God said long ago, when he spoke through the holy prophets.

Jude 1:3, 4(Jewish New Testament) ³Dear friends, I was busily at work writing to you about the salvation we share, when I found it necessary to write, urging you to keep contending earnestly for the faith which was once and for all passed onto God’s people. ⁴For certain individuals, the ones written about long ago as being meant for this condemnation, have wormed their way in – ungodly people who pervert God’s grace into a licence for debauchery and disown our only Master and Lord, Yeshua the Messiah.

Romans 3:27 ²⁷Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No: but by the law of faith (#4102 NT).

Faith - #4102 NT: The truthfulness of Yahuah; a belief of the truth of some one.

Romans 3:27 (Jewish New Testament) ²⁷So what room is left for boasting? None at all! One that has to do with legalistic observance of rules? No, rather, a Torah that has to do with trusting.

    Romans 3:24-25 (KJV) (24) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: (25) whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

    Romans 3:24-25 (Jewish New Testament) ²⁴By Yahuah`s grace, without earning it, all are granted the status of being considered righteous before Him, through the act redeeming us from our enslavement to sin that was accomplished by the Messiah Yeshua. ²⁵Yahuah put Yeshua forward as the kapparah, (atonement or propitiation) for sin through his faithfulness in respect to his bloody sacrificial death. This vindicated Yahuah`s righteousness; because in his forbearance, he had passed over, [with neither punishment nor remission,] the sins people had committed in the past;

    Exodus 3:14

¹⁴And God (#433OT) said unto Moses4872, I AM THAT I AM1961: and he said559, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent7971 me unto you.

God - #433OT: Elo ‘ahh,Elo’waah: Probably prolonged; a deity, or The Deity, God, god

Gods #430 OT: elo’him, elo hiym: Plural of #433OT; Used especially with the Supreme God, exceeding God, great judges

With these above examples we wish to show you how important it is to do your own research. We are recommending that you find a Jewish New Testament in order to see for yourself just how damaging it has been to the credibility of the witness that the disciples presented in Hebrew terminology. Through the ages much confusion and deception has crept into the inspired word of Yehovah and Yeshua, so it behooves us to track down all these references to be sure that we are talking of the same Yehovah, Yeshua, Yahusha and Messiah that are mentioned in all the translated bibles that we search.

XXIX ….And once more He will cause them to come back from their dispersion; and again they will build the house of God; 7and in the last time the house of God will be exalted greater than of old. And once more iniquity will exceed righteousness. And thereafter God will dwell with men on earth [in visible form]; and then, righteousness will begin to shine. And the house of God will be honoured in the age and their enemies will no more be able to hurt the men, who are believing in God; and God will stir up for Himself a faithful people, whom He shall save for eternity, and the impious shall be punished 8by God their king, the men who refused to love His law.

Heaven and earth, nights and days, and all creatures shall obey Him, and not overstep His commandment. Men shall not change their ⁹works, but they shall be changed from forsaking the law of the Lord. Therefore the Lord shall repel from Himself the wicked, and the just shall shine like the sun, in the sight of God. And ¹⁰in that time, shall men be purified by water from their sins. But those who are unwilling to be purified by water shall be condemned. And happy shall the man be, who hath ruled his soul, when the Judgement shall come to pass and the greatness of God be seen among men and their deeds be inquired into by God the just judge.

¹And after that my grandfather Enoch gave me the teaching of all the secrets in the book in the Parables which had been given to him, and he put them together for me in the words of the book ²of the Parables. And on that day Michael answered Raphael and said: The power of the spirit transports and makes me to tremble because of the severity of the judgement of the secrets, the judgement of the angels: who can endure the severe judgement which has been executed, and before ³which they melt away? And Michael answered again, and said to Raphael: Who is he whose heart is not softened concerning it, and whose reins are not troubled by this word of judgement ⁴(that) has gone forth upon them because of those who have thus led them out? And it came to pass when he stood before the Lord of Spirits, Michael said thus to Raphael: I will not take their part under the eye of the Lord; for the Lord of Spirits has been angry with them because they do ⁵as if they were the Lord. Therefore all that is hidden shall come upon them forever and ever; for neither angel nor man shall have his portion (in it), but alone they have received their judgement forever and ever.

    A. Covenant with Abraham – 1917BC

    Genesis 9:9

    ⁹And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;

    Genesis 9:11-17

¹¹And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there anymore be a flood to destroy the earth. ¹²And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: ¹³I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. ¹⁴And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: ¹⁵And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. ¹⁶And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look on it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth. ¹⁷And God said to Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.

    Genesis 15:18

¹⁸In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, To your seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:

    Word of Yehovah:

While I have you here, make no mistake that this is indeed a very important covenant to make mention of. The decision Abraham had to make early on in his life took place when he visited with Shem and Eber.

While Eber and Shem were alive they were able to instruct Abram in My ways up to his 45th year and then he returned to his father Terah who needed to have him home. While Abram was home the Book of Yasher paints a very vivid picture of pure idol worship carried on by Terah, Nimrod and his followers. So here begins the most interesting story that the scriptures miss out completely. Abraham turned to Me because he knew the truth and the truth set him free to become the father of all the remnant who would return to me in these last years of the sixth day creation plan. I want you to realize that it would not be possible to go into a great deal of facts, because they would outnumber what you have in this entire book. The story line of Abraham is extensive and so a brief summary is needed to cover most of the highlights of this My most worthy servant in those days. We will add the scripture to enhance the motivation for My choosing Abraham to be the Father of the Jewish nation. This is only a cursive study of what could take a lifetime to understand. Thanks for listening. Amen

    Book of Jasher- Chapter 8

¹And it was in the night that Abram was born, that all the servants of Terah, and all the wise men of Nimrod, and his conjurors came and ate and drank in the house of Terah, and they rejoiced with him on that night.

²And when all the wise men and conjurors went out from the house of Terah, they lifted up their eyes toward heaven that night to look at the stars, and they saw, and behold one very large star came from the east and ran in the heavens, and he swallowed up the four stars from the four sides of the heavens.

¹⁴And the king heard their words and they seemed good in his sight, and he sent and called for Terah, and Terah came before the king.

¹⁵And the king said to Terah, I have been told that a son was yesternight born to thee, and after this manner was observed in the heavens at his birth.

¹⁶And now therefore give me the child, that we may slay him before his evil springs up against us, and I will give thee for his value, thy house full of silver and gold.

³¹And the king hearkened to Terah, and he did so and he gave him three days’ time, and Terah went out from the king’s presence, and he came home to his family and spoke to them all the words of the king; and the people were greatly afraid.

³²And it was in the third day that the king sent to Terah, saying, Send me thy son for a price as I spoke to thee; and shouldst thou not do this, I will send and slay all thou hast in thy house, so that thou shalt not even have a dog remaining.

³³And Terah hastened, (as the thing was urgent from the king), and he took a child from one of his servants, which his handmaid had born to him that day, and Terah brought the child to the king and received value for him.

³⁴And the Lord was with Terah in this matter, that Nimrod might not cause Abram’s death, and the king took the child from Terah and with all his might dashed his head to the ground, for he thought it had been Abram; and this was concealed from him from that day, and it was forgotten by the king, as it was the will of Providence not to suffer Abram’s death.

³⁵And Terah took Abram his son secretly, together with his mother and nurse, and he concealed them in a cave, and he brought them their provisions monthly.

³⁶And the Lord was with Abram in the cave and he grew up, and Abram was in the cave ten years, and the king and his princes, soothsayers and sages, thought that the king had killed Abram.

    Book of Jasher 9

¹And Haran, the son of Terah, Abram’s oldest brother, took a wife in those days.

²Haran was thirty-nine years old when he took her; and the wife of Haran conceived and bare a son, and he called his name Lot.

³And she conceived again and bare a daughter, and she called her name Milca; and she again conceived and bare a daughter, and she called her name Sarai.

⁴Haran was forty-two years old when he begat Sarai, which was in the tenth year of the life of Abram; and in those days Abram and his mother and nurse went out from the cave, as the king and his subjects had forgotten the affair of Abram.

⁵And when Abram came out from the cave, he went to Noah and his son Shem, and he remained with them to learn the instruction of the Lord and his ways, and no man knew where Abram was, and Abram served Noah and Shem his son for a long time.

⁶And Abram was in Noah’s house thirty-nine years, and Abram knew the Lord from three years old, and he went in the ways of the Lord until the day of his death, as Noah and his son Shem had taught him; and all the sons of the earth in those days greatly transgressed against the Lord, and they rebelled against him and they served other gods, and they forgot the Lord who had created them in the earth; and the inhabitants of the earth made unto themselves, at that time, every man his god; gods of wood and stone which could neither speak, hear, nor deliver, and the sons of men served them and they became their gods.

    Book of Jasher 9

²⁷And when they were building they built themselves a great city and a very high and strong tower; and on account of its height the mortar and bricks did not reach the builders in their ascent to it, until those who went up had completed a full year, and after that, they reached to the builders and gave them the mortar and the bricks; thus was it done daily.

²⁸And behold these ascended and others descended the whole day; and if a brick should fall from their hands and get broken, they would all weep over it, and if a man fell and died, none of them would look at him.

²⁹And the Lord knew their thoughts, and it came to pass when they were building they cast the arrows toward the heavens, and all the arrows fell upon them filled with blood, and when they saw them they said to each other, Surely we have slain all those that are in heaven.

³⁰For this was from the Lord in order to cause them to err, and in order; to destroy them from off the face of the ground.

³¹And they built the tower and the city, and they did this thing daily until many days and years were elapsed.

³²And God said to the seventy angels who stood foremost before him, to those who were near to him, saying, Come let us descend and confuse their tongues, that one man shall not understand the language of his neighbor, and they did so unto them.

³³And from that day following, they forgot each man his neighbor’s tongue, and they could not understand to speak in one tongue, and when the builder took from the hands of his neighbor lime or stone which he did not order, the builder would cast it away and throw it upon his neighbor, that he would die.

    Book of Jasher 11

²⁹And Abram took the savory meat from his mother, and brought it before his father’s gods into the chamber; and he came nigh unto them that they might eat, and he placed it before them, and Abram sat before them all day, thinking perhaps they might eat.

³⁰And Abram viewed them, and behold they had neither voice nor hearing, nor did one of them stretch forth his hand to the meat to eat.

³¹And in the evening of that day in that house Abram was clothed with the spirit of God.

³²And he called out and said, Wo unto my father and this wicked generation, whose hearts are all inclined to vanity, who serve these idols of wood and stone which can neither eat, smell, hear nor speak, who have mouths without speech, eyes without sight, ears without hearing, hands without feeling, and legs which cannot move; like them are those that made them and that trust in them.

³³And when Abram saw all these things his anger was kindled against his father, and he hastened and took a hatchet in his hand, and came unto the chamber of the gods, and he broke all his father’s gods.

³⁴And when he had done breaking the images, he placed the hatchet in the hand of the great god which was there before them, and he went out; and Terah his father came home, for he had heard at the door the sound of the striking of the hatchet; so Terah came into the house to know what this was about.

³⁵And Terah, having heard the noise of the hatchet in the room of images, ran to the room to the images, and he met Abram going out.

³⁶And Terah entered the room and found all the idols fallen down and broken, and the hatchet in the hand of the largest, which was not broken, and the savory meat which Abram his son had made was still before them.

³⁷And when Terah saw this his anger was greatly kindled, and he hastened and went from the room to Abram.

³⁸And he found Abram his son still sitting in the house; and he said to him, What is this work thou hast done to my gods?

³⁹And Abram answered Terah his father and he said, Not so my lord, for I brought savory meat before them, and when I came nigh to them with the meat that they might eat, they all at once stretched forth their hands to eat before the great one had put forth his hand to eat.

⁴⁰And the large one saw their works that they did before him, and his anger was violently kindled against them, and he went and took the hatchet that was in the house and came to them and broke them all, and behold the hatchet is yet in his hand as thou seest.

⁴¹And Terah’s anger was kindled against his son Abram, when he spoke this; and Terah said to Abram his son in his anger, What is this tale that thou hast told? Thou speakest lies to me.

⁴²Is there in these gods spirit, soul or power to do all thou hast told me? Are they not wood and stone, and have I not myself made them, and canst thou speak such lies, saying that the large god that was with them smote them? It is thou that didst place the hatchet in his hands, and then sayest he smote them all.

⁴³And Abram answered his father and said to him, And how canst thou then serve these idols in whom there is no power to do anything? Can those idols in which thou trustest deliver thee? can they hear thy prayers when thou callest upon them? can they deliver

    Book of Jasher 12

¹⁶And Terah was greatly terrified in the king’s presence, and he said to the king, It was Haran my eldest son who advised me to this; and Haran was in those days that Abram was born, two and thirty years old.

¹⁷But Haran did not advise his father to anything, for Terah said this to the king in order to deliver his soul from the king, for he feared greatly; and the king said to Terah, Haran thy son who advised thee to this shall die through fire with Abram; for the sentence of death is upon him for having rebelled against the king’s desire in doing this thing.

¹⁸And Haran at that time felt inclined to follow the ways of Abram, but he kept it within himself.

¹⁹And Haran said in his heart, Behold now the king has seized Abram on account of these things which Abram did, and it shall come to pass, that if Abram prevail over the king I will follow him, but if the king prevail I will go after the king.

²⁰And when Terah had spoken this to the king concerning Haran his son, the king ordered Haran to be seized with Abram.

²¹And they brought them both, Abram and Haran his brother, to cast them into the fire; and all the inhabitants of the land and the king’s servants and princes and all the women and little ones were there, standing that day over them.

²²And the king’s servants took Abram and his brother, and they stripped them of all their clothes excepting their lower garments which were upon them.

²³And they bound their hands and feet with linen cords, and the servants of the king lifted them up and cast them both into the furnace.

²⁴And the Lord loved Abram and he had compassion over him, and the Lord came down and delivered Abram from the fire and he was not burned.

²⁵But all the cords with which they bound him were burned, while Abram remained and walked about in the fire.

²⁶And Haran died when they had cast him into the fire, and he was burned to ashes, for his heart was not perfect with the Lord; and those men who cast him into the fire, the flame of the fire spread over them, and they were burned, and twelve men of them died.

²⁷And Abram walked in the midst of the fire three days and three nights, and all the servants of the king saw him walking in the fire, and they came and told the king, saying,

Behold we have seen Abram walking about in the midst of the fire, and even the lower garments which are upon him are not burned, but the cord with which he was bound is burned.

    Book of Jasher 12

³⁴And the king said to Abram, How is it that thou wast not burned in the fire?

³⁵And Abram said to the king, The God of heaven and earth in whom I trust and who has all in his power, he delivered me from the fire into which thou didst cast me.

³⁶And Haran the brother of Abram was burned to ashes, and they sought for his body, and they found it consumed.

³⁷And Haran was eighty-two years old when he died in the fire of Casdim. And the king, princes, and inhabitants of the land, seeing that Abram was delivered from the fire, they came and bowed down to Abram.

³⁸And Abram said to them, Do not bow down to me, but bow down to the God of the world who made you, and serve him, and go in his ways for it is he who delivered me from out of this fire, and it is he who created the souls and spirits of all men, and formed man in his mother’s womb, and brought him forth into the world, and it is he who will deliver those who trust in him from all pain.

³⁹And this thing seemed very wonderful in the eyes of the king and princes, that Abram was saved from the fire and that Haran was burned; and the king gave Abram many presents and he gave him his two head servants from the king’s house; the name of one was Oni and the name of the other was Eliezer.

    Book of Jasher 13

¹And Terah took his son Abram and his grandson Lot, the son of Haran, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, the wife of his son Abram, and all the souls of his household and went with them from Ur Casdim to go to the land of Canaan. And when they came as far as the land of Haran they remained there, for it was exceedingly good land for pasture, and of sufficient extent for those who accompanied them.

²And the people of the land of Haran saw that Abram was good and upright with God and men, and that the Lord his God was with him, and some of the people of the land of Haran came and joined Abram, and he taught them the instruction of the Lord and his ways; and these men remained with Abram in his house and they adhered to him.

³And Abram remained in the land three years, and at the expiration of three years the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him; I am the Lord who brought thee forth from Ur Casdim, and delivered thee from the hands of all thine enemies.

⁴And now therefore if thou wilt hearken to my voice and keep my commandments, my statutes and my laws, then will I cause thy enemies to fall before thee, and I will multiply thy seed like the stars of heaven, and I will send my blessing upon all the works of thy hands, and thou shalt lack nothing.

5 Arise now, take thy wife and all belonging to thee and go to the land of Canaan and remain there, and I will there be unto thee for a God, and I will bless thee. And Abram rose and took his wife and all belonging to him, and he went to the land of Canaan as the Lord had told him; and Abram was fifty years old when he went from Haran.

    Book of Jasher 13

¹²And in the tenth year of Abram’s dwelling in the land of Canaan there was war between Nimrod king of Shinar and Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Nimrod came to fight with Chedorlaomer and to subdue him.

¹³For Chedorlaomer was at that time one of the princes of the hosts of Nimrod, and when all the people at the tower were dispersed and those that remained were also scattered upon the face of the earth, Chedorlaomer went to the land of Elam and reigned over it and rebelled against his lord.

¹⁴And in those days when Nimrod saw that the cities of the plain had rebelled, he came with pride and anger to war with Chedorlaomer, and Nimrod assembled all his princes and subjects, about seven hundred thousand men, and went against Chedorlaomer, and Chedorlaomer went out to meet him with five thousand men, and they prepared for battle in the valley of Babel which is between Elam and Shinar.

¹⁵And all those kings fought there, and Nimrod and his people were smitten before the people of Chedorlaomer, and there fell from Nimrod’s men about six hundred thousand, and Mardon the king’s son fell amongst them.

¹⁶And Nimrod fled and returned in shame and disgrace to his land, and he was under subjection to Chedorlaomer for a long time, and Chedorlaomer returned to his land and sent princes of his host to the kings that dwelt around him, to Arioch king of Elasar, and to Tidal king of Goyim, and made a covenant with them, and they were all obedient to his commands.

¹⁷And it was in the fifteenth year of Abram’s dwelling in the land of Canaan, which is the seventieth year of the life of Abram, and the Lord appeared to Abram in that year and he said to him, I am the Lord who brought thee out from Ur Casdim to give thee this land for an inheritance.

¹⁸Now therefore walk before me and be perfect and keep my commands, for to thee and to thy seed I will give this land for an inheritance, from the river Mitzraim unto the great river Euphrates.

¹⁹And thou shalt come to thy fathers in peace and in good age, and the fourth generation shall return here in this land and shall inherit it forever; and Abram built an altar, and he called upon the name of the Lord who appeared to him, and he brought up sacrifices upon the altar to the Lord.

²⁰At that time Abram returned and went to Haran to see his father and mother, and his father’s household, and Abram and his wife and all belonging to him returned to Haran, and Abram dwelt in Haran five years.

²¹And many of the people of Haran, about seventy-two men, followed Abram and Abram taught them the instruction of the Lord and his ways, and he taught them to know the Lord.

²²In those days the Lord appeared to Abram in Haran, and he said to him, Behold, I spoke unto thee these twenty years back saying,

²³Go forth from thy land, from thy birth-place and from thy father’s house, to the land which I have shown thee to give it to thee and to thy children, for there in that land will I bless thee, and make thee a great nation, and make thy name great, and in thee shall the families of the earth be blessed.

²⁴Now therefore arise, go forth from this place, thou, thy wife, and all belonging to thee, also every one born in thy house and all the souls thou hast made in Haran, and bring them out with thee from here, and rise to return to the land of Canaan.

²⁵And Abram arose and took his wife Sarai and all belonging to him and all that were born to him in his house and the souls which they had made in Haran, and they came out to go to the land of Canaan.

²⁶And Abram went and returned to the land of Canaan, according to the word of the Lord. And Lot the son of his brother Haran went with him, and Abram was seventy-five years old when he went forth from Haran to return to the land of Canaan.

    Book of Jasher 16

¹At that time Chedorlaomer king of Elam sent to all the neighboring kings, to Nimrod, king of Shinar who was then under his power, and to Tidal, king of Goyim, and to Arioch, king of Elasar, with whom he made a covenant, saying, Come up to me and assist me, that we may smite all the towns of Sodom and its inhabitants, for they have rebelled against me these thirteen years.

²And these four kings went up with all their camps, about eight hundred thousand men, and they went as they were, and smote every man they found in their road.

³And the five kings of Sodom and Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah,

⁴And these nine kings made war in the valley of Siddim; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah were smitten before the kings of Elam.

⁵And the valley of Siddim was full of lime pits and the kings of Elam pursued the kings of Sodom, and the kings of Sodom with their camps fled and fell into the lime pits, and all that remained went to the mountain for safety, and the five kings of Elam Shemeber king of Zeboyim, Bera king of Sodom, Bersha king of Gomorrah, and Bela king of Zoar, went out to meet them, and they all joined together in the valley of Siddim came after them and pursued them to the gates of Sodom, and they took all that there was in Sodom.

⁶And they plundered all the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, and they also took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son, and his property, and they seized all the goods of the cities of Sodom, and they went away; and Unic, Abram’s servant, who was in the battle, saw this, and told Abram all that the kings had done to the cities of Sodom, and that Lot was taken captive by them.

⁷And Abram heard this, and he rose up with about three hundred and eighteen men that were with him, and he that night pursued these kings and smote them, and they all fell before Abram and his men, and there was none remaining but the four kings who fled, and they went each his own road.

    Book of Jasher 26

⁸And the Lord heard the prayer of Isaac the son of Abraham, and the Lord was entreated of him and Rebecca his wife conceived.

⁹And in about seven months after the children struggled together within her, and it pained her greatly that she was wearied on account of them, and she said to all the women who were then in the land, Did such a thing happen to you as it has to me? and they said unto her, No.

¹⁰And she said unto them, Why am I alone in this amongst all the women that were upon earth? and she went to the land of Moriah to seek the Lord on account of this; and she

    Chapter 26

went to Shem and Eber his son to make inquiries of them in this matter, and that they should seek the Lord in this thing respecting her.

¹¹And she also asked Abraham to seek and inquire of the Lord about all that had befallen her.

¹²And they all inquired of the Lord concerning this matter, and they brought her word from the Lord and told
