The College Christian Chat 21 Day Devotional - Sherron Elise

    Introduction

Hello! I’m blessed that you’ve decided to read this devotional. My name is Sherron Elise, and I write Christian fiction novels. I am also the creator and host of The College Christian Chat Podcast. The idea for this devotional was placed on my spirit shortly after the podcast launched in January 2021.

This devotional consists of three sections: The Fruits of the Spirit, Spiritual Gifts, and The Seven Deadly Sins. I have crafted hypothetical situations to accompany the scriptures in an effort to make the content more relatable. There is also a daily prayer as well as an affirmation.

I pray this devotional blesses you and please consider purchasing the supplemental prayer journal to enhance your Bible study time. I also encourage you to subscribe to The College Christian Chat Podcast, which you can find on most listening platforms (Apple, Google, Spotify, Anchor, etc.)

    So, let’s get started!

Section 1: The Fruits of the Spirit

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! (Galatians 5:22-23 NLT)

    Day 1: Love

But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love (1 John 4:8 NLT)

Tanisha had thirty minutes until her 8 a.m. class, so after finishing her bowl of cereal, she picked up her phone to scroll through Instagram. She frowned when she saw her cousin, Nycole, had posted a meme about cutting fake family members off. Tanisha knew this was a subliminal dig at her, as Nycole had been taking shots at her on social media since their argument last week. Sighing, Tanisha picked up the phone to vent to her mom.

Mama, I’m seriously thinking about just blocking her. I’m tired of all this childish mess she’s been pulling all week. I’ve tried reaching out to her, but she ignores my phone calls. I even sent an apology although I don’t feel the argument was my fault. I’m surprised she hasn’t blocked me, but I know the only reason she hasn’t is because she wants me to see all those petty posts.

Tanisha, what will blocking her do? You can block or delete all you want, but y’all will still be cousins. Just pray for God to soften her heart and not allow you to harden yours. Remember, you’re not responsible for how people treat you, but God will hold you responsible for how you treat others, Tanisha’s mom advised.

After hanging up with her mom, Tanisha sighed and decided to send Nycole another message: Good morning, Nycole. I apologize once again for our misunderstanding last week. My DM and cell number are always available if you change your mind and want to talk things out. I hope u have
