First of all – congratulations! The fact that you are reading this book is a good indication that you are tired of being overweight and feeling sluggish. Regardless of how many (or how few) pounds you need to lose, you are ready to feel healthy, energized and physically fit from the inside out.

What Is Juicing?
Before we delve into the question of whether juicing is right for you, let us first explain what juicing is – and what it is not.
Juicing is not a fad diet. It does not incorporate strange or expensive foods, and is not difficult to learn. It does not require costly supplements or exhaustive workouts. It is not even technically a diet at all.
Juicing is simply extracting the natural juices from vegetables to be consumed along with an overall healthy eating plan. Juicing can be used as a fast to jump start a weight loss program, or it can be simply incorporated into your daily regimen for an energy and nutritional boost that words cannot describe.
Why Not Just Eat Vegetables to Lose Weight?
It is not exactly news that vegetables are miniature power houses of nutrients that are important for good health. In fact, when your mother admonished you to eat your vegetables when you
were a child, she knew that they contained important vitamins to help you grow and develop properly.
Vegetables are just as important after you reach adulthood, but unfortunately our busy lives can make it difficult to eat as we should. Too often we reach for vegetables that have been processed in high temperatures that kill nutrient value. They are also often packed with preservatives, sodium, and other chemical additives that most people would choose not to consume if they realized what they were eating.
