Helicobacter pylori — public enemy number one

is a bacterium that resides in the stomachs of more than 50 per cent of the world’s population. It’s also an enemy combatant associated with a host of ailments, including stomach ulcers, inflammation of the stomach lining and even cancer. Speculation is rife that helicobacter’s malevolence extends way beyond our deficiencies have also been linked to this organism.
