    To my children.

Love each other, keep your hearts soft and cherish your memories.

    Love mum.

Evie’s mummy stared in amazement at the two huge, dirty, rusted wheels and the heap of scrap metal, lying in the middle of the floor, in her lovely bright red kitchen.

Evie’s mummy wondered to herself what it could be, as it was incredibly old and dilapidated. With a puzzled look on her face, Evie’s mummy watched as Evie jumped up and down in delight, clapping her hands in excitement.

The pride and joy on her little face made Evie’s mummy smile and wonder what was going on. Little Evie couldn’t contain her excitement any longer, she looked at her mummy and said look mummy, look, I found you a scooter, isn’t it brilliant?

Evie’s mummy stared at the huge heap of dirty rusted metal, then clamped her hand tightly over her mouth as she tried to hide her amusement.

Evie’s mummy could barely stop herself from giggling, as she wondered if the scrap metal which Evie called a mobility scooter was even safe. Evie’s mummy didn’t want to disappoint little Evie, as she had worked so hard to find a

mobility scooter and had saved all her pocket money for a long time.

So, with a big smile on her face, Evie’s mummy announced that she was thrilled with it and as soon as she pimped up the scooter, it would be fantastic.

Evie looked up at her mummy with a confused, quizzical look on her little face and asked what she meant by pimping it up.

Evie’s mummy laughed and said just wait and see; it will be a surprise.

But first I need my tools, only I can’t remember where they are as my brain is a bit fuzzy today, and I can’t think straight because of the dementia.

Evie's mummy pondered on this, then in an excited voice, she said... Evie, I have an idea, do you want to play our game of hunt the item only this time it will be hunt the boots.

Evie squealed in delight and ran around and around her mummy until her mummy was

more dizzy than normal, and she could stand it no more. Evie's mummy laughed and told little Evie that she could hunt for her work

boots and Evie's mummy would hunt for her tools.

Evie and her mummy ran into the house giggling to themselves, Evie searched high and low for the work boots, she even searched in the bin, but no, the work boots were not there.
