About this ebook
This raw and emotional poetry collection puts vividly into words the tumultuous struggles and feelings of a teen's coming of age. Dark thoughts are portrayed as part of normal life. The thought-provoking poems explore battles with eating disorders, depression, intrusive thoughts, and internal conflicts.
Casey Conte
Fifteen year-old Casey Conte comes from a big family. She has grown up dealing with anxiety, anorexia, and depression due to family problems and self-acceptance issues related to body image. Currently in high school, she struggles with being able to stay in class, and spends most of her time working. At home she has turned her hobbies into frequent activities to help her keep busy and motivated, surrounding herself with tasks that keep her occupied in order to stay sane. That's where her poetry comes in. The goal of this collection was to put together words and images of the thoughts many young people have every day.

thoughts of her. - Casey Conte
to my reader
this book is dedicated to anyone who believes the little dark voice in the back of your head that whispers you’re fine
. this book is dedicated to anyone who is actually fine. this book is dedicated to the people who know that they are not fine because all of your guys feelings are valid and true. i have been in everyone of those positions and so has my book.
certain things you read will make you question yourself and your truth so you must know not to listen to your deep down dark voice, that voice is no longer apart of you, you arrest that voice. don’t let yourself become less than the voice. other things you read will make you upset or feel heard be-cause i was able to put your feelings into words. some things you read might trigger you so i say read this with caution because you probably aren’t pre-pared to relate deep down to some of the things i write about.
don’t be scared of your feelings or thoughts because half the time
