moments after the stars were born
the universe was found busy at work
seizing new handfuls of scattered

for her fingers to fashion a quilt
of the glowing and the blazing

and the planets watched in reverence
as she birthed wings to your mind
and delivered your heart like rain
to the malnourished garden of this
u n i v e r s e
and so became you, glowing, blazing
a beautiful storm for the world
