On Creation and the Origins of Life: An Exploration of Intelligent Design
By Bob Yari
()
About this ebook
Bob Yari presents a logical discussion of the possible origins of life and its subsequent growth into complex lifeforms based on our most recent technological and scientific knowledge.
The author takes the evolutionary mechanism built into our cells as a fact, yet also contemplates that intelligent design may have created the intricacies of carbon-based life while designing an evolutionary mechanism into its blueprint to enhance survival.
The book serves as a step-by-step rationalization of how the most fundamental version of a lifeform could have formed and how it then could have evolved into complex animals and plants living in perfect balance on planet Earth.
Get ready to think, debate, and make meaningful conclusions by arming yourself with the facts, insights, and analysis in this important work.

INTRODUCTION
T he following is a series of thoughts and an exploration of evidence within our current knowledge base to possibly find the true origin of life. Did an intelligent Creator in fact design the foundations of life on earth, particularly human life, with a very deliberate, logic-based design? Or is life the result of a chance-based event, which then grew and advanced with the mechanism of evolution? This writing is a discussion of creation and presents a viewpoint on the possible existence of a Creator entity that is completely unknown to us. This view of creation contemplates the existence of a Creator but one that is unlike the God set forth by most religions. It’s a journey from the miracle of cells to various arguments exploring a logic-based intelligence as the Creator of all life on earth.
This exploration of creation is simply one individual’s view of our world and our human existence. It does not necessarily hold itself out to be right or wrong. It is meant to present a theory—one point of view—hopefully to stimulate independent thought and debate.
In order to find ultimate truths through evidence-based analysis, the most important feature we must nurture in ourselves is openness and open-mindedness. However much we may believe in our own views and ideologies, we must consider others’ different views. We must remain receptive and open-minded in our consideration of other theories, views, and beliefs.
With active thought and open-minded consideration, we can learn to break the constraints and bias of our influenced beliefs, which are often dictated by others and accepted by us without independent analysis and questioning. We can free our thinking from the preconceived beliefs we have accepted from early on in our lives, usually without deliberate and rational filtration—beliefs that often have no foundation in logic and fact. Only then can we truly explore our world and the wonders that abound around us and form educated and rational decisions that we have arrived at purely by and for ourselves. This, in and of itself, is one of the great gifts of life.
It is part of the human condition to be compelled to grasp an existing ideology and absorb its beliefs into our own sense of identity. It’s a condition that, combined with the fact that we are easily influenced in our formative learning years, makes changing handed-down belief systems a difficult proposition. In this way, religious beliefs, ideologies, and certain prejudices have continued through generations on a steadfast, unalterable course. Despite this propensity, humankind’s power of thought and logic gives us the ability to step back from our influenced learning and filter out some of our innate primal instincts. Then we can peruse our world and the multitude of concepts in it through rational and objective assessment. With deliberate effort, we have the ability to evaluate any concept or proposition without preconceptions or prejudices and to find the path to truth through the rule of logic.
In summary, it is my hope that this writing will inspire others to consider various possibilities in our ongoing quest to determine the origin of life on our planet, and possibly in our universe, as we continue our great quest of human learning.
CHAPTER 1
I DON’T KNOW
"I don’t know." It’s a simple phrase our human mind doesn’t like much. It’s toxic to human self-importance and self-value. We tend to never use it. Rather, we know by accepting or adopting a view, usually someone else’s point of view. We listen to the various possibilities and other people’s points of view and decide what to make our own belief. And we often adopt an entire body of beliefs wholesale, without any rational filtration. Naturally, we are influenced by our mentors, our social environment, and, most dramatically, by the circumstances and atmosphere of our developmental years.
How many people do you know who believe in a religion different from the one they were raised in? Then, how many people do you know who are hard-core believers in the same religion that they were raised with? In short, almost all people—extremist believers, devout, or moderate—believe in the religions cast upon them at birth. We believe in these types of environmentally absorbed views with a degree of confidence and certainty that is usually unwarranted. We most often fail to take the question at
