#1 It is impossible to discipline your child gently and effectively without first understanding the triggers of their misbehavior. Everyone has to deal with overwhelming emotions from time to time, and some cope with them better than others.
#2 Parents should be aware of their children’s behavior triggers, which are typically of a physiological nature. These allow them to prepare for, preempt, and sometimes avoid any related bad behavior.
#3 It is important to note that food additives, such as those found in breakfast cereals, chips, candy, and even children’s medicines, have been linked to hyperactivity. If you suspect your child may be affected, check the ingredients lists on the product packaging and speak to your pediatrician.
#4 The amount of sleep your child needs varies from child to child. Some kids need eight hours of sleep in a twenty-four-hour period, while others may need closer to twelve.

#1
It is impossible to discipline your child gently and effectively without first understanding the triggers of their misbehavior. Everyone has to deal with overwhelming emotions from time to time, and some cope with them better than others.
#2
Parents should be aware of their children’s behavior triggers, which are typically of a physiological nature. These allow them to prepare for, preempt, and sometimes avoid any related bad behavior.
#3

#4
The amount of sleep your child needs varies from child to child. Some kids need eight hours of sleep in a twenty-four-hour period, while others may need closer to twelve.
#5
Bedtimes that are too early, as well as too late, can mean that a child will not get enough sleep. The sleep patterns of teenagers undergo a phase delay, meaning they sleep at later times than children. This is due to their biological sleep needs being in conflict with their school start times.
#6
When children start school, they are usually the youngest in their class. The buildings are bigger and the sounds amplified, which can be difficult for them to adjust to. They may be irritable and naughty at home, but this is because they are finally safe and secure enough to show their true emotions.
#7
One out of six children experience auditory and tactile sensory symptoms that negatively impact their everyday life. If your child struggles with these symptoms, speak to your pediatrician about the possibility of SPD.
#8
Children’s inability to communicate their feelings and needs verbally can increase the problems created by other triggers. However, it can also be a trigger by itself, even if no other triggers are present.
#9
All behavior is communication. If a child is desperately seeking parental attention, it makes no sense to ignore them. It is far better to give them the attention they seek, and then figure out how to solve the problem cooperatively.
#10
Giving a child more control does not mean permissive parenting. Kids need boundaries and limits to feel safe and
