A NEW  SEASON FOR A NEW UNDERTAKING!

As summer comes in its due season, it is time to hope for fresh new dreams and ambitions, for it is an exciting time of the mid-year to work on creative activities and projects… It brings me great delight to water these lovely greens on this lovely morning. They are such a wonderful sight! Mommy’s vegetable house is filled with plentiful returns from her hard work day after day. Throughout the year, these plants bring us fruitful delights that are more than enough for our whole family of four. Therefore, we have many spare fruits and vegetables that Mommy and I will be selling at the summer farmer’s market in our Merry Dreamsville neighbourhood.

OUR UNFORGETTABLE FORGET-ME-NOTS

Mommy, we have very special forget-me-nots this year! Rolleen is very happy to see the sweet blue and pink flowers which Mommy has handpicked from their garden. Even though it is nearing summer, the blossoms present themselves in a meaningful way before spring is due to conclude…

Mommy smiled, Yes, dear…can you see how they are special?

Rolleen thought for a moment and smiled. She began counting and answered Mommy, Ahhh…There are so many petals…and more than five of them on each flower!

Mommy nodded, Yes, why do you think God gave us so many petals on them? This is something new…This one has eight petals…

Rolleen thought again, Yes! I know,… These eight petals stand for…Mommy, Daddy, me, little brother, Ronnie, and our grandpas and grandmas – all eight of us!

Mommy smiled and patted her dear Rolleen, Wonderful…God seems to be saying for all eight of us in the family, He will never forget about us…just like these sweetest unforgettable forget-me-not flowers!

Rolleen squealed with delight, Awesome! It is going to be a great year for us all!!!

Mommy then reminded, Though summer season’s forget-me-not flowers may be rare, but that means they are precious and much cherished…

Rolleen nodded, Yes, I’ll always keep on looking out for them in our garden!

END-OF-SPRING TRIP

As the spring school year ends for Rolleen and her classmates, Mommy decides to take Rolleen on a distant trip to see her former kindergarten teacher who now lives in France. This teacher’s home is situated in a little shophouse village. There is an outdoor dining area right outside by the windows where flowers bloom. Now, Rolleen brings with her some pretty daisies from their garden back home, while Mommy decides to gift this special teacher some of her unique handpicked roses. Upon arrival at the doorsteps, Rolleen and Mommy chat excitedly about how great a surprise visit they are giving her teacher. The fast food laid on the table look very delicious and welcoming too…Why were they placed there?

It turns out that Rolleen’s former teacher had prepared the snacks for a sidewalk sale in the neighbourhood. No one shows up with interest in her items. Therefore, Rolleen, Mommy were served them at just the right moment when her teacher chooses too, otherwise the food will grow cold in the open.
