Something you must understand about reading books that use what is known as Hypnotic language, It makes the book look grammatically incorrect at first, but... once you start to grasp the reason WHY it is written like it is, you will appreciate the methodology behind each scripted word.

I am British and so... use words from Britain that sometimes conflict with the way other countries spell certain words... Please don't be a part of the Grammar police... This mini-course book is split into three main categories that are sought after when it comes to wanting a better understanding of their specific hypnotic topic.

Who is John W Green? That person my friends is me... I started my hypnotic journey in 1974 after witnessing a demonstration of the power of the mind at one of my karate lessons and was hooked at aged 15, wanting to know how a person could get an 8-year-old girl make her outstretched arm solid like an iron bar? I was blown away by this demonstration and as a consequence bought and absorbed many "HOW TO" hypnosis books and cassette tapes, I visited the authors of the books to learn more.

I have over 46 years of knowledge inside of my head that I would like to share with you. I was a stage hypnotist for many years but found my real passion is for clinical hypnotherapy helping people overcome personal mental battles.

I wrote this book in 1998 and never published it until now due to other commitments I had in my past.

I teach in layman's terms and find that people I have taught, grasp the fundamentals straight away.

Like a driving instructor would say, "I'll help you pass your driving test and then you can learn how to drive". This book will help you better understand the basics of hypnosis to help you better understand the more advanced methods quicker.

Please enjoy this mini-course

    SOME FACTS ABOUT HYPNOSIS.

    Introduction

Back in 1974 at aged 15 Years, I was at my local karate class training as we did every week on Bransholme estate in Hull, UK. At the Wado-Ryu class, taught to us by sensei the late Mike Rayworth.  He invited a special guest along from Japan the honourable Master Sensei Tatsuo Suzuki,  who came to assess the people chosen for the England team. During his visit Master sensei Suzuki chose a small girl from our class and put her into a mild trance, he had her hold her arm extended and asked larger members to push her arm downwards. Her arm was rigid and they found it hard to push her arm down. Of course, some of the more powerful larger members could have pushed her arm down... but would have caused her pain afterwards. The demonstration of the power of the mind was brilliant.

I was very impressed at that impressionable age and wanted to know how to get people and myself into a trance state; like Tatsuo Suzuki did. I didn’t get much chance to speak with Master Sensei Suzuki, but, what brief chat we had prompted me to learn more about hypnosis and the mind.

I was blown away at what I had witnessed and wanted to learn how to do the trance method. I bought hypnosis books and read them from cover to cover, finding them quite hard to understand. They were written in jargon, with long words, and in those days we didn’t have the World Wide Web to search for meanings of certain things at aged 15 years, my vocabulary wasn’t at its best, which is why it was confusing and used far too many intellectual words for my young brain.

I wished then, there was a hypnosis training book and course that broke everything down into layman's terms, But! There wasn’t.

I wasn’t going to let that deter me and my trusty oxford dictionary either.

Eventually, I started to better understand the methodology of hypnosis and the reasons why people in trance, do what they do and behave in the way that they do.

I started to better understand how and why hypnotist’s talk about the brain being metaphorically split into two parts, one part influences the other... why one part is easily influenced and not another... All of the things that would never enter the average person’s mind, and here I am absorbing this amazing knowledge like the proverbial sponge.

I could not stop reading, learning and practising, even now 46 years later, I still learn new methods and even invent new methods, I have helped countless thousands of people during my journey of the mind and even was a comedy stage hypnotist for many years, entertaining audiences, whilst in between doing shows, I was (and still am) a clinical hypnotherapist helping people with all manner of things that can be influenced by the mind such as fears, phobias, anxiety, stress, migraines, habits, ticks, Stroke recovery, stammers and many other things that can and do, affect the body’s autonomic system, when triggered by a negative thought process.

I learnt how to change a person from talking negatively to themselves and attracting the bad stuff, to changing the way they talk inwardly and attract the good positive stuff and found clinical therapy is (for me) the most rewarding and gratifying thing I have ever done.

Since I started my hypnotic journey there have been other additives to mind change and influence, such as NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) which again is fascinating and a great tool to add to your metaphorical hypnotic toolbox.

I have learnt and taught much faster techniques to put a person into a trance...  like, street hypnosis where it appears that I am simply shaking a person's hand and they just go into a fast trance effortlessly, then I made them do weird and fun things that they would never normally do in a fully awakened state.

After many years of teaching and practising hypnosis, I wrote a short book back in 1998 which has been on the back burner until a friend of mine mentioned it during the pandemic lockdown of 2020. She said, why don’t you publish it? ... I thought, well now is as good a time as any and here in your hands is the book I wrote in 1998, the same words I have used to teach people over the years, with much success. I do write as I speak and my grammar isn’t the best, but! the principles and methodology to help you to hypnotise others are all here in your hands.
