    Introduction

As the title suggests , the reader will be met with Mwanandeke Kindembo’s quotes collection that he has written over the past years. The majority of these quotes came from his last two books: - What They Asked Me: The Fear of Living and Dying Young and Treatise Upon the Misconceptions of Narcissism .   The author has decided to dedicate his time to explaining, at great length, all his quotes that he has published on the internet. He has decided to embark on the journey due to some confusion some people encountered in trying to understand and digest fully the meaning of each quote. Therefore, all of those doubts or confusions will be clarified in this little book of quotations. Thus, spreading the message that he intended to spread since the very beginning of his writing journey.

As an engineer, Mwanandeke is more focused on simplicity or breaking down the complicated theorems and allowing even the street people to be able to read and fully get the people of what they have just read. His main goal is to spread the message to the world. The message of peace and guidance for you in your daily life.

The reader is therefore, advised to read this little book with patience and try to apply their logical side instead of trying to jump to conclusions. Meaning, you must be open to different ideologies that differ from your own and try to learn from other people’s perspective. The author, for now, is on the driver’s seat and he is going to tell us what he meant by each one of his quote outlined below. However, that does not mean that you cannot agree/disagree with some of his explanations. Otherwise, your mind will be fully under his shadow when you decide to leave him take you wherever he wants! That line must act as a waking call to anything that you come across and you are advised to jolt the curious side of your mind awake. But you must use that mind wisely instead of aiming it to criticism before exploring yourself in the first place.  In short, aim to understand instead of criticising alone!

    PREFACE

Mwanandeke is an author who bases his books on self-help. In other words, he focuses on non-fictional works instead of putting too much emphasis on the imaginary things. This is because he genuinely wishes to help humanity in general and make people start thinking for themselves, instead of relying too much on others. Self-help or self-realisation are the kind of words that are embedded inside his mind. Without knowing yourself first, you cannot achieve anything nor understand the main source of your achievements in life. You will end up relying on luck and will constantly be guessing whether you are doing something correctly or rather, if everything is wrong with you at the current moment. The quotes mentioned in this book will act as a source of motivation and inspiration to anyone who reads them with attention. With the guidance of the author, you will have no need to concentrate too much on the quotes themselves but on the main message. This is because the author has decided to explain and highlight the difficult parts and make you see the bigger picture that he is painting in each quote. Thus, clearing misunderstandings and guiding those who are lost while trying to benefit from them. The main aim of reading is to find something that will ignite the flame within you. It is not, however, trying to find faults in the authors or those who have dedicated most of their time to spread the message around the world. You, the reader, are advised therefore, to make sure that the main message makes sense to you. At the same time, you must try to understand why some quotes are not as appealing compared to those you seemed to love the most.

Apart from that, the quotes are formatted in alphabetic order. This decision was made to minimise all the confusions and simplify things down for the reader. As life is continuous, these quotes will act as a summary for the two books mentioned above. Allow this little book of quotes to become your daily friend which will in turn accompany you wherever you go. Always keep it at your side for more inspiration.

    Bonus Quotes

People are beautifully made just like flowers in the garden!

    - Mwanandeke Kindembo

We all know how boring the garden will be if there were no mixed flowers. So is the world when viewed from above. What you will see is the mixture of several colours of people who make the world look like a greater and beautiful place.

Apart from the beauty that resembles flowers in the garden, we must understand the source of where that beauty is emerging from. That is to say, each and every skin colour is essential in bringing and making the Earth a better place to live in.

There is no need for you to feel left out based on the fact that you were born in this world. You were born here and naturally, you must feel, experience and taste that you truly belong here. This world does not only belong to one person or group, but to everyone, regardless of their backgrounds. Meaning, you have got full rights and are licensed to express yourself as much as you want without being under the mercy of someone for 24/7.

At the same time, you must respect and love one another as no one chose to be born here in the first place. Whites must respect and love blacks. The same thing is applied to black people. The same rule applies for the Asians and every other colour out there. Whether you call yourself brown or red, it does not matter as long as you are alive and a citizen of this world. Better united, than divided!

Change can be made only when you understand the true nature of things and not when you’ve form weird images of them into your head!

    - Mwanandeke Kindembo

I know and believe that you have had enough from heard about the word change in this generation. Or, the past generations. In the above quote, I am simply telling you that you must understand what change you wish to drag yourself into. You must, therefore, understand the whole situation before putting both of your feet in the water. Learn and know where you are heading and where you are coming from.

You must have a clear vision of what you want to achieve by taking this road of change. Have you managed to distinguish imaginary from reality? Or, are you just following the crowd for the sake of being called a social person?

Since you strongly believe that you are unique from the rest of the people, you must know your limits as well as your ability of achieving the goals you have set in your life.

Here you are being advised to consider and re-consider all the alternatives before making that final decision. It is the most crucial part of your life, and thus, saving the time and energy that could have been wasted unknowingly.

I believe that the mind is the last planet that’s left unexplored—Achieving the universal or cosmic consciousness is the highest goal to mankind.

    - Mwanandeke Kindembo

Your brain is the most important organ in your body. However, that does not mean that the other organs are useless. No. All of them are useful, but we must focus most on the organ that we use most of the time. Whether you want to know if the cup is half-full or half-empty, it is your mind that makes the final decision to stop or to continue with your action(s).

The mind is that invisible or the doing part of the brain. The brain itself is not that useful unless it is put into action. If we truly understand how these messages are sent and at what exact time we receive them, then we can all start predicting futuristic events in our lives. I’ll present some questions to illustrate what I am saying. What makes you remember some dreams while you thought you were asleep? What is that thing which was doing the recording part when you were unconscious?

These kind of questions can keep you awake for several nights without coming up with clear answers to any of them! Why do many students forget the most important information during examinations; while some can still remember the lyrics of old songs?

Perhaps, it’s the soul that is doing all the recording while you are asleep, and the music is talking directly to the soul and not the brain. Using Engineering terms, the soul is similar to a ROM (Read-only Memory). The mind is just a RAM (Random Access Memory). The former is trustworthy while the latter cannot be trusted at all.

Confidence is similar to luck. You can't hold it forever at your service!

    - Mwanandeke Kindembo

No matter who you are, we have all been there to the land of the luckiest people in the world. Meaning, we have all believed in luck at same stage in our lives. Whether it was during your childhood or you still believe in luck in your old age; at the end of the day it does not matter at all.

Luck is as unstable as the wind and it cannot be relied on. It is something that happens while your eyes are closed. You cannot prove it to someone else, keeping it in your own little heart.

The same words can be repeated when it comes to confidence. Even when writing the words in a books, the author is required to be confident at some stage. But every day is not the same. Meaning, we must go through ups and downs, then rise up to the surface in order to guide others through the same experience we went through. Sometimes, you feel confident and at other times you do not feel like yourself. Fortunately, you are not alone. That is truly the nature of human beings!

Since we cannot have luck and confidence constantly at our service, it would be wise to keep yourself prepared for the worst days. So as not to keep whining about how bad the day has been going for you. We must accept our human side and keep learning from our weaknesses instead of complaining daily about them.

    Section A

A genius separates himself from things which are not useful nor beneficial. While you are eager to try new technologies-A genius is thinking about how to invent something totally different that will be used by all.

    - Mwanandeke Kindembo

The most surprising thing I’ve come across is that, everyone wishes to become a genius. I don’t know whether it’s only in our generation or it has always been like that from the very beginning of the world. The strange part is that, no one is willing to work hard towards that rocky road. You cannot expect to become a genius if you are not doing things that will help humanity in the near future.

Clearly, I‘m not indicating that you to sit down the whole day reading books or researching without socialising. It’s fine to meet your friends or loved ones!  However, you must remember that even the car that you use to travel with was once an idea inside someone’s head. You don’t want to live your whole life as a consumer of things without leaving your mark in the world.

If someone can come up with a great idea like a car,  why not think of an aeroplane? Oh! Even the aeroplanes have been invented and are in use as we are talking right now. So what is holding you back from thinking and coming up with something great that will be used by all ?! Perhaps, your mind is only thinking and daydreaming about the new model of a smartphone? Is this how you wish to live your life?

Take some time alone to reflect about your life and how you can change the world into a better place. If they can do it, then why not you?!

A genius is someone who sees the big picture of everything presented before them—They can predict how it’s going to turn out in the end and what steps have to be taken to make it so.

    - Mwanandeke Kindembo

I strongly believe that there is no one who doesn’t wish to become a genius at some stage in life. Perhaps, that dream of yours has vanished away and you have accepted to live a normal life. To be mixed among the vulgar or normal people.

But before we can all crave for that sweet title; genius, we must set some limits to it in order to eliminate the weaklings from blending in. Meaning, all the geniuses must be put to test in order to determine if they meet certain characteristics. It does not matter whether they are in the league of their own or they are similar to the previous geniuses before us. Apart from only seeing at the end of your nose, a genius is required to go much further than that and try to come up with quick solutions that can save us in the near future. That is what I called it the ‘big picture’. Meaning, it is something important to humanity and nothing personal.

You must become a great observer of things around you and try to identify the issues that many people are struggling with. That is, solve the big problems that might cause future panic in the society. If you are capable of doing and proving your work, then there is no limit on what you can do. Thus, the name genius will have no choice but to be given to you; without even asking for it. Simply, because your mind is no longer on the same surface as the common people. Your eyes are already set upon a star while their eyes are gazing down on the ground.

A capitalist regime is more likely to produce these narcissistic behaviours in its citizens compared to a socialist country.

    - Mwanandeke Kindembo

In a Capitalist country, people are always motivated and advised to become competitive in their daily basis. Even at work the employers wish to become the first ones to explore the automation systems before their competitors.

Therefore, it can be seen that these people are always spying on each other in order to get ahead and trying to forecast the future. The kind of future is easier spoken about rather than seen by the naked eyes.  Simply, because they’ll be too busy and blind to witness it while they’re occupied with so many competitions. Their negative thoughts will always cloud their minds from thinking straight and making proper decisions that will be useful to all (the employees). Whereas, in the Socialist country, people are always working together towards their main goal and trying to achieve everything at the same pace. Meaning,  teamwork is applied effectively, and everyone’s doing the work willingly instead of being forced by the boss. Meaning, there’ll be no trust issues in a Socialist compared to a Capitalist environment. Since everyone’s considered an equal in Socialism philosophy, this’ll cause its citizens to act accordingly. They’ll respect and treat each individual according to the way they wish to be treated. In the Capitalism, there is no economical equality nor social equality. Most of the employees have nothing to say in the company while they must live with the consequences after being fired from their posts.

A musician is similar to someone who wrote a letter to the loved one. Then decided to read it out loud instead of sending it.

    - Mwanandeke Kindembo

Nowadays, it is almost impossible to distinguish between talent and hard work. We cannot tell who is faking and who is a true singer in the musical industry. Simply, because music is based upon the beats and the instruments — nothing to do with the voice nor the meaning of the song.

It is not surprising for a non-Spanish speaker to enjoy Spanish songs and dance to them without knowing what they’re doing in the first place. The majority of the young people are dancing to the beat of the song and not following the lyrics of that song. If something sounds great in the ears, then that is the end of the story and the song is  labelled as amazing.

Sadly, the musicians of our generation have turned the industry into a business instead of entertainment. By entertainment I mean that the individual will not put their self-interest before the needs of the audience. Nor can you present something that does not educate or illuminate the minds of the young people. A musician is responsible for educating the society in which he / she is living and not trying to empty their pockets alone. On the other hand, I have so much respect for the composers — be it classical music or any type of great music out there. Remember, people do not want to listen to your problems, but they wish to hear what steps you took in overcoming them. No need to talk about useless things in music and expecting to educate your fans. Keep the message clean!

A single farmer can feed the whole town, but no one will ever notice his death. Except when they are feeling hungry again. That's the nature and ingratitude of humanity.

    - Mwanandeke Kindembo

I do not know anything about where you’re currently living. But I can assure you that, this young generation of farmers are running away from the work of their forefathers. They are running to the cities because they want to start living in luxuries houses and driving fancy cars like everyone else.

It all seems fair and beautiful to see such ambitions in their eyes. But when you take a second look, you will come to understand that the society’s going  to an end. Without farmers in a country nothing can advance, and the economy is more likely to fail in the coming years.

The soil’s meant to be cultivated and used wisely to grow food. I strongly believe that, the only reason that most of the farmers live longer is because they are growing their own food instead of consuming too chemicals. Meaning, everything they eat is organic while the so-called rich people are dying so young for the want of eating the food that they no clue of origin. Nowadays,  fast-foods restaurants surround us and are slowly killing us physically, mentally and spiritually. Physically we become fat, mentally weak to focus for long on important matters and we spiritually fail to truly grasp what is going on around us.

In short, we must show our respect and honour all the farmers in our environment who are constantly growing the food that we eat daily. Without them, we cannot have
