      Tessa sat on her bed with her knees pulled up to her chest and hugged them tightly.

      It had been a bad day and it was all she could do to not just sit there on her pink and white frilly bed and cry.

      She hated that bedding. Her mother had picked it out for her in her endless attempt to keep Tessa sweet and innocent. Like bed ruffles would have an effect on her personality. In a way, they did. They made Tessa annoyed with anything pink or frilly. Not really the outcome that her mother wanted.
