      Rain pounded the already soiled ground along the slender pebbled pathway. Despite the warm summer day it had decided to rain only a few minutes after I had left the house, much to my dismay. It wouldn’t be too bad if it wasn’t that horrible kind of rain on a hot day that stuck to you.

      I hurried along, hoping to reach the farm as quickly as I could. Either side of me were large green trees; their thick branches and nests of leaves making you believe that they would provide shelter. Instead the rain merely fell from the bright leaves soaking my once curly auburn hair. I shook my locks, letting the water cascade over my loose white summer dress.

      With my now almost see through dress and the short brown sandals that cladded my feet, I definitely wasn’t dressed for such weather. On the plus side the small droplets of rain brought out the delicious scent of the countryside. The smell of freshly mowed grass and blooming flowers filled my nose as I jogged quickly down the
