      The rain hammered against my soaking stone cold skin and my breaths came out in icy bursts, just visible against the torrential downpour. The streets were almost empty, only a few people dared to run through the devastating weather. My dangerously high heels meant that I had to slowly trudge through the darkening skies for the 2 miles to my house.
