In order to understand our bodies and how we evolved, we must look into our past. A carnivorous diet has been an integral part of pre-human and human existence for at least 5-6 million years.

Around 2 million years ago, a magical event, the evolution of primates from scavengers to hunters, occurred that allowed the brains of our early ancestors to grow and allowed for human evolution.

Moving from scavengers to hunters meant early human ancestors could go from eating scraps to eating fat and muscle tissues, which are filled with tons of nutrients necessary for brain development and growth. Humans became the apex predators.
