To make sure that everyone is heard and that no important business is overlooked, group meetings should be led by a chair. The chairman should be the main point of contact and control the meeting in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

A quorum is the minimum number of members required to legally conduct business in a meeting. In most organizations, a quorum is defined as the majority of the unit’s members.
