Miranda checked her lipstick in the mirror while hoping that the blind date her friend, Beth, had set up would soon end. It was obvious that neither of them had much in common. Everything she said, he’d tried to top and that was a major pet peeve.

On the other hand, the man that Beth had been seeing was showing interest in Miranda which was making her uncomfortable. Beth had arranged the blind date because she claimed she and Frank had nothing in common which Miranda had quickly agreed.
