Jogging around the block, I heard a heart-wrenching screech and jumped a mile. Frantically looking around, I spotted the animal emitting it moments before the bees attacked me. Unfortunately, I went with my first instinct, which was to swat ferociously at them while screaming.

This action of course made them worse. Someone suddenly grabbed me and dragged me into the house. As I rolled in agony, hearing the hideous screeches alongside my own screams, a male voice screamed, Cover your face and don’t breathe.

Trying to do as directed, I heard a hissing sound before realizing I was being sprayed with something. I have no idea how many times the dog and I were stung but the man swiftly called the ambulance. While we waited, I shrieked when another stung me before realizing it was the man administering some kind of shot.

When the ambulance arrived, I learned my savior was a doctor. My eyes were so swollen that I couldn’t see his face.
