      When I left the house in the morning, the last thing I thought I was going to need that day was an attorney.

      It was a nice hot summer day, with a clean breeze coming off the ocean. Deciding it was a good day to head to the beach, I put on a bikini with my wrap-around beach skirt, with my white sandals and went to La Jolla just before noon. The cloudless blue sky was amazing, as was the feeling of the sun on my skin. I walked with my beach bag, down the beach and then came up into town to get some lunch. Looking for a deli or something I came across a jewelry store which looked inviting, and slipped in there to take a look at a bunch of stuff I couldn't possibly afford, but were nice to gaze at anyway.

      I browsed the cases, avoiding eye contact with the salesman. There were several other people there as well, so he had better choices than me for sales. I came across
