      Alice Freeman was twenty-six and free. Free from college, free from obligations and free from attachment. With this freedom she stepped on a plane in New York city and got off in Rome, Italy. She felt alive once the plane touched down, even after the mind-numbing Trans-Atlantic flight. Clear of customs and her backpack retrieved from luggage, she found a cab and gave the driver the address of her hotel.

      The sun was perfect as was the sky. Despite the alarming traffic and chaotic driving skills, she forced herself to keep her eyes open. She had multiple adrenaline rushes and fear induced leg convulsions where she knee-jerked the attempt to find the brake pedal with her foot from the back seat.
