About this ebook

Erina has come to Prague on business. She was good at what she did, and mostly what she did was organize people’s lives for them. Her task here for several weeks was to insure that people coming over from her home office in the U.S. would not get lost, in trouble, and make their meetings. Erina meets Anton, a Prague Homicide cop in a beer garden, and the heat between them lights up the cold nights for both of them. But Erina is destined to leave, she already has her ticket home.

Erina Schlanger unlocked the door to her Prague apartment and hauled her two suitcases across the threshold. She turned on the light switches in the foyer and looked around. It was furnished, in a utilitarian fashion. There was indeed a couch, and a chair, as well as a coffee table in the living room area. The kitchen looked like it had a table. Nothing matched or looked like it was made in this century, but the objects were there. She sighed and rolled her suitcases into the bedroom. There she was met with a brand new bed and mattress, still in plastic. She smiled. Thank God for small favors. At this point in her journey a clean bed to lie in and go to sleep was all she really cared about.

The master bathroom was inviting as well. Clean, with a large tub that had those lion feet. The curtain looked new as well. She tried to decide whether she should sleep or take a bath first, and her exhaustion decided for her. It was definitely time for bed. Erina was reaching twenty-six hours without sleep. She flew from L.A. to New York, and from there to Prague, with stop overs and delays. But she didn't lose her luggage, miss a flight, or get held up in customs, so the trip was a success.
