    Beginnings

    A Holiday Greeting

    It is the Holiday of Light as a miracle lights the world.

    It is the Holiday of Birth as a savior is gifted.

    It is the Holiday of a Bountiful Harvest, and our spirits are lifted.

    Light, Birth, and Plenty…it is the Holiday of Peace, of Rebirth and of Joy.

    We gather to celebrate, however we can.

    As old hurts and grievances cease by our hands

    We raise our sights to heaven's promise

    As hope is born if in light you stand.

    A new life beckons as fields of green

    Bring promises of truths that to us are unseen

    The gift of life sleeps in a small manger

    The oil lit lamps burn deep in his chamber.

    The gifts of the harvests are offered in silence

    A glorious day has now arisen…

    Christmas… Hanukkah… Kwanza

    All celebrate peace, light, hope and beginnings

    Today we rejoice and give praise for the promise.

    We give thanks for our blessings as the earth keeps on spinning
