INTRODUCTION
I want to thank and congratulate you for downloading this book, "Cricut for Beginners – Vol. 2".
The Cricut machine is resulting in a revolution in paper crafting. It is readily portable and operates without being attached to a computer so that you can pick this up from the handy carrying handle and proceed.
The Cricut machine is capable of manufacturing a vast range of letters, shapes, and phrases anything you can imagine. There are no limitations!
I think every enthusiastic crafter should invest in at least one of the Cricut products if you have to add up all the time spent on perfecting lettering and ablation intricate designs, patterns, and slicing fondant with those pesky blades by hand.
While there is nothing that beats homemade products, cards, or personalized coasters, you can still personalize the same things with any of the Cricut machines and have the chance to offer them a professional and clean finish.
Let’s proceed!
CRICUT PROJECTS FOR THE HOME
Scandinavian Botanicals
Based on simplicity and minimalism, these hygge-inspired botanical shapes lend slightly of coziness to the kitchen counter. Mixed metallic vinyl transforms an easy functional food storage container into an ornamental object. Iron the leaf and flower motifs onto kitchen linens or an apron to offer to your favorite chef.

Iron-On Vinyl Steps
Cut iron-on and take away the surplus.
With the wedding tool, remove detailed cuts from the inside design. Examine your design carefully to make sure that each cut-outis removed.
Place design onto your fabric with the shiny plastic facing up.
Iron with no steam to infuse the design with an apron.
Use cotton ironing cloth, if needed. Let cool completely, then peel back the plastic layer at a pointy angle.
Cover design with ironing cloth and secure design onto fabric.
Continue the process with remaining iron-on vinyl designs.
Tip: Don't use steam with your iron-on material. If your material isn't natural fiber, like cotton, linen, or silk, test little area before transferring iron-on vinyl.
Vinyl Steps
Cut vinyl and take away the surplus, weeding around the details from your design.
Cut transfer material to suit design.
Place transfer material over design and press with a burnishing tool.
Peel off the backing paper.
A place to align with the second set and burnish to secure details.
Remove backing paper from vinyl.
Place vinyl onto a clean surface and burnish to secure.
Southwest Cacti
Cactus plants seem to be the design accessory lately, but what if your home doesn’t get full sunlight? Make your own jumbo paper cacti to bring home a touch of Southwest style. These three-dimensional sculptures are often placed into simple terra-cotta pots, painted to match your own decor. Bonus: no messy dirt to deal with!
Here, too, are four simple designs that we cut with vinyl to customize smooth stone coasters. Add your own creative touch by finding alternative ways to use these cute cacti templates.

Use spray mount or glue to connect poster board and card stock base.
Slide tabs of huge cacti piece into slits on top of the base, leaving two base slits in between.
Repeat with the second matching piece.
Slide next piece with slit at heart over other two.
Press tab into the base on the right side.
