Keep it clean

Getting messy is all in a day’s work for a crafter. Always lay newspaper or plastic over the surface you’re working on and have a damp cloth close to hand for any small spills or splatters.

Button Print Sports Shoes

Give plain sports shoes a makeover. Using a magical blend of buttons, corks, and fabric paint, you can transform plain shoes into something fresh and fabulous. Sporty Sasha just loves them!

You will need:

• Bottle corks

• Buttons

• Craft glue

• Canvas sports shoes

• Fabric paint

• Paintbrush

• Black felt-tip pen

Glue some buttons on to the tops of the corks using craft glue. Leave them to dry.

Use a paintbrush to paint a layer of fabric paint on to one of the button stamps.

Press the stamp on to the shoe and lift it off to reveal your print. Repeat with all the other button stamps and cover your shoes with lots of prints.

Add to your design using a black felt-tip pen.

Paint the laces with a bright fabric paint and leave them to dry before you relace your shoes.

Now you’re ready to put them on and strut your stuff!

Bubble Print T-shirt

Don’t pop it, print it! Bubble wrap makes fun spotty prints. Kimberly has made a heart print that is so on-trend. You can make one for a friend using a different pattern!

You will need:

• Bubble wrap

• Scissors

• Fabric paint

• Plain T-shirt

• Plastic chopping board

• Paintbrush

Fold a piece of bubble wrap in half and cut out a teardrop shape, as shown above. When you unfold it, it will make a heart.
