#1
The first and most important step in home organizing is to answer some fun and meaty questions geared toward clarifying a vision for your ideal life. Once you have clarity about your goals, you can assess every space in your home against those goals to benchmark where you are and then map out what changes you need to make to reach alignment.
#2
The home of Olivia, a mom of two, was cluttered with diapers, dirty dishes, and piles of laundry. She felt like she was drowning, and she had completely lost her identity since having kids.
#3
Your why should be specific and inspiring enough to keep you focused and grounded when you get distracted or overwhelmed. It should serve as your North Star when you get lost.
#4
You need to know where you’re going in order to get there. You should also try to dream big, as it is scary but worth it.
#5
Your brain is overprotective. It will tell you that your goal is too difficult or dangerous, and that you will fail. This is perfectly normal. Your brain wants to keep you safe, and anything new will feel like danger to the primitive part of your brain.
#6
The brain loves to look for evidence to support our thoughts. If we spend lots of time thinking about what isn’t working in our lives, our brain will hunt for all sorts of evidence to back up the negative thoughts.
#7
You want to meet your big goals, but you need to believe in yourself and your ability to achieve them before you have actually accomplished anything. You must banish the word hope from your vocabulary and commit to making them happen.
#8
When you ask better questions, you'll get better answers. When you're feeling stuck or blocked, ask yourself what you need to do to get the results you want. What qualities do you need to develop, or cultivate, to get the results you want.
#9
When you feel overwhelmed, start by downloading a Project. This will help you get things out of your head and onto paper, which will provide you with relief and a solid reality check.
#10
To tackle a big project, such as organizing your entire home, you must first make a choice and then take action. You must schedule time to get it done, and resist the temptation to distract yourself or stop taking action.
#11
You will be unstoppable once you can allow yourself to feel resistance and still take action. As Oprah would say, everything you need to accomplish your big goals
