Education Through Poetry

About this ebook
The different activities that are included are things I like to do or would like to do on the future. For example, I shared my thoughts on having children, although I personally have never had any. I grew up as a Jehovah’s Witness and you will find many references to the organization and my heart felt feelings about my Creator. I have no intentions of changing anyone’s beliefs but I have come to love what I’ve learned.
The other ideas in the book come from personal experience mostly. I use the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd perspectives. Sometimes the stories told are what really happened, while others paint a picture based on personal wisdom. I’ve also included poems about my family and heroes in my life. Included are Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Samuel L. Jackson. There are a few more that I share my thoughts on. But I won’t spoil it for you.
Other ideas are ones we can all relate to including invitations. We all like to get invited to an outing or party or such. These poems give you a spin on things you already know and allow you to think outside the box. These poems are good conversation starters and will captivate the mind.
Jonathan Jones
My name is Jonathan and I have been writing since high- school. I currently live in Burton, MI. I’ve come to have a passion for poetry because I find it interesting and rhythmatic. As a youth, I played the piano and the alto saxophone, so I was always intrigued by rhythm. I’m 30 now and am still using that rhythm and combining it with writing. I have a passion for music as well. If it’s good, I’ll listen to it. I like R&B mostly because it calms me and of course has rhythm. I like other activities as well. Including sports such as foot ball, basketball and soccer. I’m a big Michigan football fan and am happy for their good season. I like to play basketball because I have to focus and get into a groove so to say. When I was younger I could dunk, but now I stick to the layup and jump shot. I grew up in Flint, MI which had its challenges, but at least I feel I got a good education. I took honors courses all through high- school and middle school. Although the situation wasn’t always ideal I made a pact to retain as much as I could learn. The education has served me well and I happily received a 3.68 GPA.
