I express my deepest gratitude to the love of my life, my husband, my soul mate, my champion and my bestest friend, Myron. I sincerely thank you for being here for me...for being my rock, for the times of silence when a mere glance up from your work signals your protective eye never stops. Thank you for helping me carve my verses, curb my vices, strengthen my voice and broaden my vision. Thank you for being in my life, urging me to speak up and speak out in my own voice. Thank you for giving me all the support I’ll ever need and certainly for assuring me constantly that I can do this again and again and again….and again, as this is my sixth book of poetry to be published. Frederick King, my number one son. Thank you for being a true Cancerian Crab, through and through. I am ever grateful for your loyalty. You always love hard and reflect back to me, my deep love and unique connection only a mother and son could share. You are the first branch of my life’s precious tree...I am hopeful your branches will sprout forth and makes us a proud, honorable and strong hierarchy to make deep roots throughout eternity. Janeece Freeman Clark, my sweet precious daughter, who is the epitome of strength and creativity. Our bond has been loving and uncommonly strong. Your motivation, vision and accomplishments within your short life bring an intellect of epic proportion into this world. You continue to outshine the sun. My pride is in full bloom. So shine on STAR of mine.

Myron Freeman Jr., my unique son in the middle. Your one of a kind mode continues to amaze as you exhibit unheralded talents. Your unwavering devotion to family touches and warms my heart, both internally and eternally. For each of us, loving family bonds are essential. Continue that warm protective demeanor...it suits you well.

My six grands...Mario...(great sense of humor, quite intelligence, respectful of all);

Shawn...(lover of video games, unusual combinations entangled with thought provoking questions);

Jada...(beautiful smile, beautiful mind and unquestionably success in the making):

DaShawn...(inquisitive mind, speed demon on the move non stop); Tamia...(smart beyond years, leadership and in charge personality); and Dwayne Jr ..(talented dancing machine, multi-gifted and sweet mild demeanor).

My son-in-law, Dwayne Sr, a super talent on so many levels. You hold a special space in my heart. I look so forward to our collaboration on other pieces within this book or possibly others....as you know too well...the beat goes on.
