CHAPTER 1

The quite famous class of little monsters has been transformed completely.

Since the arrival of their 100th teacher, things have changed for the better. They no longer misbehave in class. Instead, they pay close attention to what their teachers are telling them. What’s more, instead of failing all their subjects, they’ve become the class with the highest grades in the entire school.

And it’s all thanks to Leandro, their 100th teacher.

They’ve been with him for a year now and they’re very happy. This year Leandro is their homeroom teacher and the little monsters are in grade four of Primary School.

You could even say everything’s going well for them. They have fun in class, they’re learning a lot of cool things, they’re working hard, and they’re even reading a very interesting book in their Language Arts class about a police cat.

However, today something’s not quite right ...

CHAPTER 2

Today’s Monday so the week is just starting.

The little monsters are already sitting at their desks waiting for their beloved teacher 100 to arrive.

They always start the day with assembly. That’s when the little monsters get the chance to tell everyone else what they did over the weekend. Next, they have Language Arts and Arithmetic followed by recess and then Music and Physical Education.

Mondays are really cool.

Peter, their former leader, is sitting in the front row of desks and looking at the clock above the blackboard. He’s worried.

It’s two minutes past nine and Leandro hasn’t arrived in the classroom yet.

How odd! Peter remarks to Marta, who’s sitting in the desk beside him. Why’s he taking so long?

Marta has everything prepared for class: her text book is open to page 37, her notebook shows she has completed all her homework, her pen, her eraser and, of
