A Halloween Story - A.P. Hernández
CHAPTER 1
Angela’s already eight years old, but she has to share her bedroom with her two sisters. And that’s not cool. Not cool at all!
Angela really wishes she had her own room to store her dolls, her dresses, and her toys, and to keep her things tidy, but right now, that’s impossible.
Her parents have told her so a thousand times.
It’s just the way things are, Angela,
Antonio, her father, always says. We don’t have any spare rooms.
But I’m eight!
she protests. I need my own space!
You’ll have to make do with what we have.
And worst of all, he’s right.
All the rooms in their castle are occupied.
Oh, yes.
Did I mention that Angela lives in a castle?
Or that’s it’s a haunted castle?
Let me introduce you to all its occupants.
On the first floor, there are werewolves, which means they also have the castle garden to play in. This is a very good thing indeed because werewolves play just like dogs do: they chase each other around, they dig in the dirt and, when there’s a full moon, they spend the entire night howling.
The second floor’s occupied by ghosts.
