    Spellbound

After Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec's In Bed The Kiss

    ––––––––

The eventide is woeless. As though scared

of being divorced from each other, stirred

and shaken by whispers of love declared,

her kiss shared never been more like a bird

of summer, never more tender in shades

of red and yellow, subdued by grey, green

and blue, coupling doves, guides Venus’ cascades

away from the thief of time. Now her queen

of endearment, stripped bare of all glamour

and glitz, tangled in the nightfall's embrace

brushes off Adam and Eve's anchored grammar

of rapture, her lips, amaranthine grace.

No one knows how private lips, a wildfire,

    discharge the most celebrated desire.

    To My Lady Fair

    ––––––––

The sun rises and my heart sings,

To my love in her castle Fair,

My voice rises in this Hall of Kings,

To a level and tenor I can only dare,

I will join together with golden rings,

Our hands in marriage, my feelings bare,

Our lives together on eagle's wings,

In her eyes, I'm lost in stares.

    ––––––––

The sun sets and my heart is fine,

The horses whinny, the gloaming settles,

At her castle table we're set to dine,

With truffles rare and steaming kettles,

Through the mist, I know she's mine,

All flowers bend near, as she walks in petals.

    ––––––––

    – C. R. Powell

    Love’s Light

    ––––––––

    Love’s light

    Shines from our eyes

    Illuminates soul mates

Safe keepers of each other’s dreams

    Call of the Wild

    ––––––––

    My love for thee

    Cannot compare

    With throngs of birds

    Which fill the air

    With thunder clapping

    Everywhere.

    With waters rushing

    Here and there.

But if all the world were

    Silenced.

    I could still find thee

By the purest song of love

    Within

    Your

    Heart.

    Harp Of Psithurism

    ––––––––

The downpour is over, my heart

We do not need an umbrella anymore

Neither do we need any covers

    Today, it is raining flowers

    From the blue blue sky

    Roses, sweet jasmine and dahlias

    Fresh blooms of spring

    Smiling in wonder glee

just for the two of us, only

    ––––––––

This is our moment, hurry up my sweet

    We must not waste time
