Shelta's Songbook: Poetry and Prose from the Vaults of the Keeper
By Leia Talon

About this ebook
As Shelta tumbles through time, she leaves notebooks and sketches behind. The Keeper of Lost Souls and Stories slips Shelta's creations through the World Tree into his secret collection. Sometimes, he listens through the tapestry when she sings. Sometimes, he transcribes her words. He cannot help himself. Her music sets his immortal soul aflame.
Shelta's Songbook is a standalone collection of short storiers and poetry, which opens the universe of the World Tree Chronicles, paving the way for the Roots and Stars duology, where Shetla's story unfolds.

Sometimes the riskiest roads are the ones that lead us home.
~ Shelta ~
FROM THE KEEPER
I have watched Shelta since the beginning, when she was born through the World Tree into a future far from the time and place she was conceived.
I am not the only immortal who watches her. She’s our greatest hope, even if we don’t agree on imagined outcomes. It is forbidden for gods to interfere in the realm of humans. We do anyway. The subtlest of interactions ripple into unknown consequences.
The unpredictable nature of Shelta’s travels through time and reality would’ve broken some, but it has only made her music more exquisite, her spirit more complex in its beauty.
Shelta has endured loss after loss. Friends and lovers held for but a blink of time. So many songbooks left behind.
With this collection, I’ve captured treasures that would have otherwise been lost. Her art feeds my immortal soul, setting me aflame.
I toy with the idea of showing Shelta these pieces of her life. Memories thought unreachable, devoured by the
