    Maximizing Your Single Season

Maximizing your single season sounds cliché, but it is the most powerful thing a woman with queen consciousness should exercise. Being single is not a curse! Though being single can feel lonely, when a woman understands that she is worth the wait, she is more receptive to being patient and waiting on her king. Being single has felt like a curse to many women because of the stigmas attached to it. Many single women feel that they are not enough unless they are dating, which causes them to settle often from the spirit of desperation and pressure from society and those close. Though being single can feel lonely, the queen needs to be awakened to her self-worth and not allow society to push her into a relationship or marriage that she will later regret. Truth be told, many women are not maximizing their single season. Many women, instead, are rushing the process and settling for less than God’s best. When a woman fails to maximize her single season, it causes her to gravitate to the first thing in sight or idolize the image of being in a relationship or even marriage. Though many women have been wired to be wives, they can yet be productive while they wait on that special one or choose singleness for their entire lives.

Upholding a standard is the first thing a woman can do to maximize her single season. This has become less common in today’s society. Many men no longer work for women because many women do not allow men to earn their love. Standards are compromised often through sex and lack of boundaries, which causes many men to categorize women into the same box. A woman embracing her uniqueness and tailor-made identity is a woman who makes wiser decisions as it pertains to choosing a significant other.

Setting the standard also helps women know what to reject and what to allow. A woman unconscious and not awakened to her identity and great potential is a woman who wastes her own time. The old saying goes, If you give the man the milk for free, he won’t buy the cow. The meaning behind this statement is so significant because many women do not understand that they are a treasure. Women were created to do and be great. The influence a woman carries can significantly impact a man and her entire household. A woman knowing that she is treasured will always carry herself as if she is rare and royalty. The high standard set will cause men to have greater respect for women; because when a woman understands her value, this challenges the man to earn her love. Many women in society are now working to earn a man’s love which is out of order. When God created Adam, He said it was not good for man to be alone; so, God created Eve for Adam. Many women don’t understand that they were intended to be the man’s favor and reward, not vice versa.

    Influence

Women have truly progressed since the 1960s. Women now carry influence in many sectors of society, including government, politics, the criminal justice system, healthcare, education, business, entrepreneurship, culinary, and even in ministry. By women now being more diverse in many sectors of the world, the economy has risen. Having a woman on the team is important because of the knowledge she brings with her. When God created woman, He created her on purpose, for a purpose. Many women fail to realize that they are enough, which causes them to put their self-worth in the hands of a man. When God created the first woman, He created her for Adam, but she was whole before she met Adam.

Whether you are reading this and you’re single or in a relationship, you must understand that your existence is not a mistake and is not connected to another person. Your purpose is not determined only by your marital or relationship status, but by God and the unique identity He has given you. God created each of us in His image and has given each of us a unique blueprint. Women must understand that God did not create us to be limited or have a limited mindset. A woman discovering the power and authority she has through God is an influential woman. Finding purpose is sometimes not easy due to the comparison that many women are faced with daily. The pressures of not being tall enough, skinny enough, smart enough, bold enough, and sometimes light enough cause us to dismiss the brilliance that we already carry. The saying coined by Publius Ovidius Naso, the grass isn’t greener on the other side, is a statement that many women should adapt to and meditate on daily. Looking at another person’s life from the outside is not always as glamorous as one might believe. Finding love and contentment within oneself is the first step to self-discovery.

The world is often so nosey and busy that a woman cannot hear from God (her Creator) and begins to operate from a place of people-pleasing to find acceptance in society. God made no mistake when He created the woman, but unfortunately, many women have felt like they were a mistake due to several unfair factors. Some women have been abused, some have been rejected by their parents and peers, and some have felt like an outcast because of their social-economic status, weight, height, physical features, and even their unique personalities. The pressures that many women have faced have caused them to feel incomplete and inadequate. This pressure has, in return, made many women feel like another woman is her competition or enemy. The feeling of not being enough and feeling worthy has blinded many women from unlocking the great potential they already carry. I believe every woman reading this is an influential woman and should not try to mold themselves into fitting into what society says is beautiful or acceptable. Having great character and knowing that you are truly somebody will help you operate from a different level of influence. Though many of our stories differ, God’s goal for each of us is to bring Him glory and live out His peace. God wants to bring light to your darkness and heal your heart from past trauma and condemnation.

The need to be perfect does not have to exist in our lives because we are all imperfect people. The feelings of guilt and shame do not have to be our last name because the blood Jesus was shed for each of us to be free and completely whole. To the women reading this: you must understand that God never asks us to be perfect but to aim for greatness. God understood that even our ancestor Eve would make
