About this ebook
The power of written expression is an anecdote for the emotional Ebb and Flow of life captured in her first book of poetry. This second book shares intimate moments of reckoning. It challenges the reader to push beyond emotions so they can be all that God has called them to be. These poems will meet you where you are!
The book captures poetic interludes from the life changing ten-year period where Arminta bid an “until we meet again” to her sister, paternal grandmother, a great cousin and an aunt-all from cancer. In this time of deep grief and sadness, Arminta found solace in writing. She also found the strength to accomplish-more.

This book is dedicated to those who remind
me that I have more
to DO…
My Daughter, Noah Micah Pearle Harris
My Nieces & Nephews
My godchildren
I remain grateful to my ancestors and village
for inspiring me so I may inspire others.
I am living at the edge of my capabilities, for them.
As I take a minute to inhale all that has transpired since Ebb & Flow, I find myself emotionally spent yet graciously grateful. As soon as the newness of 40 showed up, so did the bastard, grief. It nearly robbed me of the last ten years until it occurred to me that I have more.
More of anything I could think or imagine. More of the stuff
that charges queens to live above their level of expectation. More confidence that allows an empress to be a risk taker. More that empowers an amazing me to love an amazing you. To dream in more, live, give and love-in more.
More is as raw as the sugar cane that my ancestors cropped for these racist ass United States of America. More is until we meet again.
More is intimate, barren, and clingy. More uplifts and challenges. More releases passions, and endorphins too. More prioritizes and realizes that everything and everybody has a season and a time. More is fueled by memories and anchored in love. More listens, laughs and is sorry. More appreciates. More communicates. More resolves and centers. More backspaces and deletes. More is opposite of less!
More is a yearning to help others navigate through loss not absent of poor choices. More is moments of deep sadness and isolation. You find your more while you are in them. More is not skipping the line on relationships and life, if it did, the solace of more could never be manifested in you.
Our reactions come from somewhere and that somewhere can shape, make, or destroy your more. The circle of life requires a beginning and an end. You only get to choose the latter. You are just a heartbeat away from your more.

A Gift of June
What do you say to the one who knows you better than the rest?
To the one you’ve given your best
How do you feel?
When pleasurable pain never subsides
Where sensibility and reality collide
You give the gift of June
With calmness of voice
And continued trust
You give the gift of June
Enamored in confidence
Wrapped in audacious wonder
That is what I give
To the one who knows me better than the rest?
