The Craps Lesson - Gene Robinson
Dedication
This book is dedicated to those who have become masters of knowledge concerning a craps table, and therefore, understand the best way to play the game, as well as those who are about to.
Introduction
Once a person has become aware of the truth that takes place at a craps table, the clarity of the reality is an unbelievable sight. You have huge volumes of people making a genuine effort to play this game to the best of their ability, while at the same time you have people running the game making every effort possible to deceive these players into making less than advantageous bets, while trying to convince them that they’re doing the right thing.
You know it’s a strange thing, when a carnival comes to town, people know that less than scrupulous acts take place so they’re very leery of what’s going on. They even warn their children of the undesirable character concerning such a group of people in hope that these unsuspecting youngsters won’t get totally fleeced.
Yet, these very same individuals come into the casinos and are so incredibly gullible in regard to this group of people who are nicely dressed, well-groomed and mannerly, working in this luxurious looking establishment, that they totally overlook the possibility or probability in this case, that these people who work in these casinos deserve no more respectability than those people who work the carnivals. It is unfortunate I have to admit, but to simply throw out every bit of common sense you’ve accumulated in your life in reference to being taken advantage of, while trusting what to do with your money to this group of people who take other people’s money as their business, lends all the intelligence noteworthy of walking onto a car lot, grabbing the first car salesman you come to and telling him, Here’s $30,000 I’ve been saving for quite a while so I could get a nice car. Which one should I get?
It’s really pretty pathetic.
After spending a great deal of time in the casinos and watching all of these people interact with one another, I came to the conclusion that the people who come to casinos to play need some help pretty seriously.
At that point in time, I began working on ways to tell the truth about gambling at a craps table to the people who come to the casinos. Wrapped up in a nutshell that’s what this entire endeavor is all about. Well no, after a few years passed, I came to the conclusion that I deserved to be monetarily rewarded in a fair manner for giving people this information which enables them, at times, to win a great deal of money. It has taken me down a number of different paths. Finally, after much deliberated consultation with an agent concerning publishing, I believe that passing on this knowledge to the general public in the form of a book is the best deal offered in the world of gambling and casinos. The only greater understanding remaining is revealed through my personal appointments where I personally show individuals my patented system.
My hope for you is that by learning the best way to play the game of craps, you will then be able to have fun in the security of your knowledge that you are getting the absolute best value for your money while giving yourself an excellent chance to win a lot of money. Not only is there enjoyment in knowing you can no longer be manipulated by the dealers, but there’s a great deal of fun in winning a large sum of money.
Sincerely,
Gene Robinson
Chapter 1
How I Learned this Information and Why I Wrote this Book
I was a pool player for most of my earlier years, and traveled around the country quite a bit, so it’s easily enough understood that I wound up in Las Vegas playing a pool tournament one particular year. I won some money, and like most people who come to this town, the game of craps looked interesting to me.
Someone pointed me in the direction of this old man who was an excellent pool player himself in his own day, telling me he knew how to play craps real well. I told him I thought I wanted to play a little, but didn’t really know how, so we took some money to the tables and he did all the playing as I watched. We went down and up, and up and down who knows how many times before it was finally over. We lost. But I couldn’t believe how he worked the money into positions at times where we had an excellent chance of winning a lot of money.
I left Las Vegas except for my mind. For nearly a year it remained in Vegas, fascinated with how he had moved our money into striking distance of all that money the casino had sitting there on that craps table. I finally decided I’d like to physically re-join my mind again, so I called him and asked if I came back out there, would he teach me what he knows about craps. He said yes
so I was off again for Vegas.
If he told me once how it worked, he must have told me a hundred times. Oh, I knew where to put the money and why, along with why not to put it on any of the other bets, but what he did with the
