    A Brief History of Artificial Intelligence

    Robotics and artificial intelligence have existed in one form or another for decades. Many machine learning techniques were pioneered in the 1950's and 60's, and the first formal study of artificial intelligence (A.I) took place in 1952, as part of a program developed by John McCarthy at the RAND Corporation to provide systems that could think for themselves. Fast forward to 2014, and computers were predicted to be better than human doctors in many instances by the end of the decade. But 2014 also marked the first time A.I beat humans at chess , and a team of neural networks beat professionals at the game of Go in 2016. These breakthroughs represent a major advance in A.I, but were achieved by some combination of trial and error, additional research, and human knowledge .

    The Future of A.I

    Creating an effective A.I strategy involves not only developing an algorithm but ensuring that it integrates into business processes so it can be analyzed and optimized at scale. Companies are applying A.I technology to everything from analysis of old documents to drone tracking, with some initiatives even making use of the technology to translate from one language to another.

    Progressing into the  future , we’ve been living in an age of sophisticated computer automation for many years  ,high tech platform  as diverse as cyber security monitoring, urban traffic control, and heavy industry are already being handled with little or no human supervision.

    But artificial intelligence (A.I) need  to venture  beyond relatively simple tasks and  macro repetition to train in  higher end servers  to think for themselves - and thereby efficiently solve far more difficult problems.

    The price of innovation has never been cheaper. Start by recognizing the ways that A.I technologies can be incorporated into existing business processes. For example, getting a job posting online can be done by a robot, using an A.I chatbot. Once you have a handle on how your business can benefit from the technology, you can develop a plan to make it happen.

    Many startups recognize that customers are increasingly fickle, and that having the right product or service in place is no longer enough to ensure that a company stands out from the competition.
