About this ebook

The main purpose of this book is to encourage everyone to learn to love inspite of, have compassion, and to become forgiving individuals. This book teaches us how Jesus loved us inspite of our short comings, so much that He gave His life for us and that God loved us enough to send His only son to be an atonement for our sins. It also tells of the courage and unwavering faith of  a man that knew he was facing a terminal illness and even knowing what the outcome was predicted to be, never questioned or blamed God. He walked through it with a smile on his face until the end.  Most of all this book is written to let you know, no matter what you go through in this life, especially facing the death of loved ones such as a spouse, other family members, or a special friend no matter how young or old you are, with Jesus on your side, you can make it.

I thought we would grow old together.

    Foreword

As you read this book, I pray that you will take the time to realize how important it is to love, have compassion, and be forgiving. From the youngest to the oldest person you know, I am sure they all have one thing in common, and that is the desire to be loved. I can’t think of one person that doesn’t want to be loved, and I’m sure you probably can’t either.

Life is one of God’s greatest gifts, so we must cherish it. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. There’s no coming back. I challenge you to think about that the next time someone makes you angry. What would your life be like without that person? Then, see if you don’t want to handle the situation in a different manner than you normally would.

A lot of times people in general take life for granted and never stop to think that it could be lost at any given time. This is especially true for our young people, so I encourage them to read this book as well. I know this book is titled, A Widow at Forty-Five, but don’t just look at it as referring to marriage, but look at it also from the aspect of relationships in general. No matter how young or old you are in this life, you will form some sort of relationship with other individuals in one way or another. There will definitely be times when you will have disagreements because no one agrees on the same thing all the time. There will also be times when you feel that you have been wronged and mistreated, but you have to learn how to be forgiving.

We can’t go wrong if we learn to treat others the way we want to be treated in any given situation, especially in the area of being forgiven, showing love, and having compassion.

    The Model Prayer

Our Father which art in heaven,

    Hallowed be thy name.

    Thy kingdom come.

    Thy will be done

in earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

    For thine
