About this ebook

The contrast truth is a religious book of more than one volume, with volume 1 having about 280 pages. the book considered the authenticity of some verses in both the Bible and the Quran in other to establish logical points. This book is necessitated by the level of lack of spiritual knowledge and understanding being displays daily by those who call themselves theologians, Academia, spiritual leaders, religious Apologetics and custodian of God’s word in teachings concerning the one and only true God. It clearly compares statements and stories rendered in both books against the backdrop of the believes held by the adherents of the three major religions in the world. The main purpose of this book is to enlighten every spiritual minded person about the truthfulness of the personality of the one and only true God whom all claim to be worshipping in other to bridge the disparities and abate hatred within the society at large.
In this book volume one, the true divinity of Jesus Christ as the Messiah was established with clear evidence from the bible and Quran as references. No one has ever pointed this out in history. This book also points out the inconsistences in both the Quran and the Bible against the existing dogma held by their adherents that both are void of such contradictions.
This book consists of controversial questions that raises the consciousness of the reader to a degree of better understanding why questing for the truth. Some of these questions asked were answered in this book while the unanswered one will be answered in the next volume. This book is written with an open mind with a great effort to be free of biasness and prejudice but based only on proves from the Bible and Quran. This makes it suitable for academic purpose. It is a potent weapon for Jews, Christians, and Muslim’s apologetics to have during debates whenever it arises.
This book is a must have for every home of Jews, Christians and Muslims who seek knowledge about the true personality of Jesus Christ as recorded by all the prophets before him and how the prophet Muhammad words differ in totality.
It is a known fact that cannot be disregarded that all the religions in the world believe that there is God. Therefore, if they all claim to know Him, why do they fight each other’s in the bid of fighting for God when God said He will only have mercy upon whom ever He wills. He does not say His mercy will only be for the Jews neither did he say only for the Christians nor did he say for the Muslims only. Let no man boast that him or her own religion is only the right way less such one perishes in their own ignorance. The only right way is to do the will of God.
This book was able to prove that both Christianity and Islam as a Nation were promise fulfilled and are in God’s plan just as Jacob and Esau, Isaac and Ishmael were all in God’s plan of restoration of all things.
The accurate knowledge of God is an important integer for one’s salvation. Thus, this book breaks it down to the simplest form for a layman to understand and to be well equipped while contending for his or her faith.
In this book, a clear distinction was established between the two classes of Christianity that majority of pastors will never talk to their followers about. This is also a very strange subject most people have not heard of in Christianity.
The book clearly shines a light on the difference between Jehovah in the Bible and Allah of the Quran. It also differentiates the Almighty God from the Mighty God in the Bible account with a supporting verse in the Quran which the Muslim Imam, the Christians Pastors and the Jewish Rabbis never thought of or are spiritually blinded to.
Finally, the book was concluded with the writer’s submissions and advice for the religious fanatics and extremists of all religions to shun violence in the disguise of fighting God’s fight because at the end God says He will have mercy on whom He will irrespective of ones religion.

    THE CONTRAST TRUTHS

In the Light of the truth, the scripture said that it is not good for a believer to be without knowledge Hosea 4:6 said, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. From this statement of Hosea, we can see that knowledge is particularly important in the service or worship of the Almighty God. If we have no knowledge of Him, there is no way we can say that we know Him, and if we do not know Him, there is no way we can serve Him in truth no matter what the religious believes we uphold.

This book is inspired by the level of ignorance been exhibited daily by most theologians, religious academic scholars, clerics, apologetics, and faithful adherents which in turn has cumulated to feeding followers with wrong information about the personality of God Almighty thus, causing more disparity and hatred across board (i.e., among religious sects) and in the world.

I will be basing my writings on the three major religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) in the world as to, what they all agreed with within them and what or what doctrines they used to differ about the God in whom all of them (followers) claim to profess.

This book will only be based on evidence from the bible (using the KJV mostly), Qur’an (which is in this case is the Sahih international translations) and other authentic sources, when necessary, to establish points in contrast or in concord of the subject matters.

I will be writing as simple and plain as I can for purpose of clarity and elucidation in other to drive home the points that I will be raising in this book. So, my readers should not expect much grammatical vocabularies beyond a layman’s understanding.

I will also want to say that as much as we will be considering some histories, I will not go in-depth more than necessary into it just for purpose of simplicity and plainness. In this case, references will be given in other not to bore us.

I will not prolong further in my introduction by saying that I will try as much as possible not to be bias and to remove any atom of prejudice from this book but to dialogue on fact and evidence as written in the three books (Torah, The Gospel and the Qur’an) by way of contrasting and concurring references when necessary.

Without further ado, let us dive into the matters.

    CHAPTER 1

    26671.png

    The three Major religions

    (Judaism, Christianity

    and Islam)

    Judaism

Judaism (originally from Hebrew יהודה, Yehudah, Judah; via Latin and Greek) is an ethnic religion comprising the collective religious, cultural and legal tradition, and civilization of the Jewish people. Judaism began about 4000 years ago with the Hebrew people in the Middle East. Generally, Abraham a Hebrew man, is considered to be the father of the Jewish faith by all Jews. Judaism is a religion practice by the Jewish people (specifically I mean the Sadducees and the Pharisees). As widely claimed, it is believed to have begun with the relationship of Abraham (THE FIRST JEW) with God. Thus, Abraham is known as the father of Judaism.

Q1 The question here is that is it true that Abraham was a Jew? or the father of Judaism as widely claim? Also, Could the Quran be right by saying Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian but a Muslim?

Note that Jew (in Hebrew, Yehudi) is one who practice Judaism which was derived from the name Judah meaning praises. And Judah happens to be the great grandson of Abraham. I will like the Rabbis to ponder on this.

Abraham was called the friend of God; He was a prophet of God according to the scriptures and Qur’an. This is one of many similarities between the bible and the Qur’an

The Jewish people were favoured above all by God. They were people set aside for God’s purpose and for God to show his greatness and Might to the world. They are special people. They are called the Lord’s chosen Deuteronomy 14:2, States "For you are a holy people to YHWH your God, and God has chosen you to be his treasured people from all the nations that are on the face of the earth. The Qur’an also confirmed this in Qur’an 2:122 O children of Israel, remember My favour which I have bestowed upon you and that I preferred you over the worlds.".

Most natural Jews believe only in the Torah (also known as the book of the Law) and the Talmud as the true and perfect word of God which He gave directly to Moses on Mount Sinai. They do not believe in the Gospel of Christ neither do they believe in the Qur’an as the word of God. At the same time, a Jew is likely to go into the masjid or mosque and pray or carry out some works rather than going into a church hall. This is because they have some higher degree of believe that the Muslims worships one God(monotheism) like they and the Christians are idolaters because they worships three Gods in one(polytheism).

The Torah comprise of the first five books written in the Bible (From Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy). These are the Laws of the Jews which writings were accredited to Moses.

Note: the orthodox Jews (Sadducees) ONLY believes in the Torah and while the Pharisees and others believe in both the Torah and Talmud.

Q2. The question here is that, if the orthodox Jew only believes in the Torah, what about the writings of other prophets of the Jews which were included in the bible after the first five books (Torah)?.

Let us at this juncture consider the promise of Almighty God to Abraham.

It was written in the scripture that Abraham had two sons called Ishmael and Isaac. The Qur’an also wrote about it but with a contrast historic view to that of the Bible.

God promised to Abraham is to make him father of many Nations Gen.17:4, 5" As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.5. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee".

On the other hand, the Qur’an said in Qur’an 2:124 "And [mention O Muhammad], when Abraham was tried by his Lord with words [i.e., commands] and he fulfilled them. [Allah] said, ‘Indeed I will make you leader for the people’ [Abraham] said, ‘And of my descendants?’ [Allah] said, ‘My covenant does not include the wrongdoers.’"

It was recorded in the bible that God’s covenant with Abraham fulfilled through one of his sons although, both sons were blessed by Him.

if we were to literally go by the Quran record of God promise to Abraham as highlighted out above, it will mean that God promise to Abraham was only to Abraham and his people and did not extends to his descendants after him. Because as you can see in the verse of the Quran quoted above, Abraham did ask ‘And of my descendants?’ and Allah response considered them as wrongdoers by saying my covenant does not include the wrongdoers. I think this is questionable.

Contrary to the Qur’an, the Bible shows that the covenant fulfilled on Abraham’s descendants through Isaac.

    God’s Blessings on Abraham’s sons

For Ishmael: God said to His Mother Hagar through His Angel I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude The Angel further said his name shall be called Ishmael, because the LORD has heard thy affliction. And He will be a wild man; his hand shall be against every man and every man’s hand against him. He shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren. (Gen.16:10-12).

Furthermore, God said to Abraham that "As for Ishmael, I have already blessed him. That He will make Ishmael fruitful and multiply him exceedingly... and I will make him a great Nation" (Gen 17:20; 21:13,18).

Ishmael dwelled in the wilderness of Paran. The location of this place is still a controversial issue between the Christians and the Muslims till date. We all know that it is a general believe that Prophet Muhammad was a descendant of Ishmael and Islam as a religion was born in the Arabian nation.

The descendants of Ishmael were known to be the inhabitants of the present-day Arab Nations up to Mecca in Saudi Arabia. It was from the lineage of Ishmael that Prophet Muhammad to whom the Qur’an was given as generally believes by Muslims came from. This (the Arab Nation) is in line with God’s pronounced promise to Ishmael as stated above.

Note that the Jews and the Christians does not believe Muhammad was a true prophet but only the Muslims do.

For Isaac: When God said to Abraham that He will give him a son through Sarah, Abraham said to God, I already have Ishmael let him leave before thee. But God said to him, "As for Ishmael, I have already blessed him. That He will make Ishmael fruitful and multiply him exceedingly... and I will make him a great Nation. But My covenant will I established
