Ken Chitwood is a graduate student fellow with the Center for Global Islamic Studies at University of Florida and associate research member with University of Waikato’s Islamic Studies Group. He earned his MA in theology and culture at Concordia University Irvine. He studies hemispheric American religion, intersections of religion and culture, and ethnographic methods in a global and digital age.
The three Abrahamic traditions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam alone account for more than 55 percent of the global population. This article is an effort to understand their history, development, core beliefs, and demographics in the world today.
