The Way of Light
()
About this ebook
Most essays contain a minimum of 400 words, although some will be longer in length. Each essay will point the way to the Light (Jesus) in countless examples throughout the course of the book. For those who already follow the way of the Light (Jesus), they will discover examples as to how to share the Light (Jesus) with friends, family, relatives and associates. The Scripture states that none can come to Jesus unless the Father draws him/her (John 6:44) and that to be drawn into believing (faith) comes by the word of God (Romans 10:17).
Many events point to a soon return of Jesus Christ who is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). THE WAY OF LIGHT in each of its individual compositions will point the reader to the true Way of Light.
Frederick Mundle
Frederick Mundle adds his third book of poetry entitled Naked Christians to his list of Christian publications with Xlibris. He addresses elements within the body of professing Christians which require being called out. His hope is to awaken the naked who do not realize that they walk about without the clothing of Christ. His desire combines the alerting and converting the otherwise spiritually dead to awaken them to eternal life in Christ. Most self-professing Christians do not realize that they parade around spiritually naked, not being clothed with Christ. It is Frederick's hope to through the power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus name to raise the spiritually dead before they actually physically die. There is no eternal life with Christ unless the foregoing occurs.

INTRODUCTION
to The Way to Light and Its Raison d’etre
Heaven will house people from every nation, tribe, people, and language (Rev. 7:9), people who have on an individual basis been reconciled to God through His Son Jesus Christ. When Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life,
he also said, No one comes to the Father except through me
(John 14:6). Despite what other groups might say, or nor matter what any one individual might say, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob says in His Word, Salvation is found in no one else, for there is not other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved
(Acts 4:12 NIV).
Catch the Light is a colour-blind, race-blind, denomination-blind effort to reach people who do not yet know Christ, people who claim to know Jesus (as in heard of Him) and mistakenly believe they are saved, those who claim Him as Saviour but do not serve him as Lord, as well as those who are truly His followers.
In Revelation 2 and 3 God’s word states that from within any of the seven churches from Ephesus to Thyatira, only the one who overcomes and does His will to the end
will be saved. You could be one of them by first making a decision for Christ (John 3:16 NIV), which will result in being born again (John 3:3 NIV), then setting Him apart in your heart as Lord (1 Peter 3:15 NIV), and next working out your salvation in fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12 NIV) which means performing His will to the end of your life.
No matter any word to the contrary, the Word of God is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness
(2 Tim. 3:17 NIV) so that people of God may become thoroughly equipped for every good work.
In one hundred years of earth time, given that the Lord tarries, almost every person who is living on this earth at this very moment will know the reality of Christ by either being with Him in eternity or being without Him in a lost eternity because eternity is His. In Him is eternal life (John 3:15; John 3:36; John 5:24; John 10:28; John 17:3).
HOW TO USE THIS BOOK?
At the end of each essay you will find a number of blank lines waiting for you to express your thoughts, questions, reactions and so forth.
Oftentimes when reading almost anything, a thought arises. When it does, we most often disregard it at the moment. We make a mental note of it saying to ourselves that we will attend to it later, later being the end of the essay or later which oftentimes means never.
Since these essays relate to spiritual matters, the Holy Spirit may quicken you with a thought, one which He would prefer that you attend to it immediately, at least in some way. It is much like awakening in a dream and promising yourself that you will write it down in the morning. Even the best of people have either no recollection of the night’s dream or at best some slight remembrance of it. After a while we either learn to pay no attention to our dreams or manage to get up in the middle of the night to document some aspect of a dream.
All in all, should you be sparked during the reading of one essay or another, take the moment to express the essence of that quickening. Given that you incorporate the practice into your readings, you may find over a period oof time what God is trying to communicate to you Don’t we all want to hear from God? Well, this may be the greatest opportunity ever to assess what He is saying to you. Why not give it a try?
ORIGIN
of The Way of Light
The Way of Light has its roots in Catch the Light whose rootlets were first set down in a small-town newspaper, The Tribune, published in Campbellton, NB, many years ago. The column ran for a period of 10 years. Soon after that an FM radio program by the same name had been developed and ran for 10 years as well in Listiguj, PQ, a First Nations Community in Canada.
Both the newspaper article entitled Catch the Light and the FM radio program evangelized the region of Campbellton, NB on one side of the Restigouche River and Listuguj as well as Pointe-a-la-Croix, two quiet neighborhoods on the Quebec, Canada side of the river.
Some 5 000 Tribune readers had access to the Christian column, while the listening audience of the FM station at CHRQ reached a somewhat greater number. The long-range goal of The Way of Light now is to endeavor to reach readers long after its author goes to be with the Lord.
This production reaches out to encourage those already in Christ and to others who might come to Him as a result of this outreach. May God increase your luminosity in Christ so that you draw others to Him via the light in you. Jesus said that when He would be high and lifted up He would draw all men unto Himself. Now we in Him and He in us can continue to have Him high and lifted up in our lives.
DEDICATION
This book is dedicated to those who become awakened by its essays.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
After I, at the age of 47, walked into a Presbyterian Church in Campbellton, NB, Canada, in a matter of weeks I underwent a radical transformation. It had nothing to do with any particular message but more to do with a hymn that contained a concept which I could not recall from week to week. For several weeks I returned and immediately searched for that hymn and the line that had so enraptured me. All the while upon each visit I had an auditory experience with the Lord. That is the short version, rather the micro version. All in all, I am thankful for a Reverend Wayne Burke (Gone to be with the Lord) for having been there at the time and for understanding that I was in the midst of having and actually had a born again experience. Often many ministers do not believe in being born again and therefore cannot understand what the phenomenon means or that it even really exists. In later weeks and months, many in that church at that time thought I had caught religion.
In the early months of my having come to the Lord I met a Christian woman by the name of Reverend Sarah Mundle now. In time I learned that she had heard a word from God about how God was going to use me. She argued with God as during our first encounter I had not been saved. What she told God is that she could have nothing to do with someone unsaved. But, God had told her that I would become one of His. In time that happened and after a time we chanced to meet subsequent to my salvation. For certain she had become on or the greatest servants of God I had ever met. In the thirty years of our having been together, God has not stopped using her in my life. It would not be long before God would begin using the two of us in ministry.
Reverend John Hopkins came to the pulpit shortly after my salvation and quickly expedited growth in me by sending me during summers to a pulpit in New Carlisle, PQ, Canada, as a pulpit supply. His entrustment of that pulpit into my hands had not been for naught.
Along came Reverend Tom Saulters (Also gone to be with the Lord), who fostered growth in me, used both my wife and me in ministry by sending us to an outlying community some 100 kilometers from our home town to preach the word. I don’t know why I have so few words for the greatest of them all in my early years of salvation.
Ken Matchett, a great man of God during my early years post salvation, taught me what no one else did in my first three years of coming to know the Lord. Ken taught me that you can actually lead a person to Christ. How great is that? No minister, no person, no Christian, no saint had ever introduced such a concept. From that point forward I had been able to lead many friends, relatives, and family members, to Christ. Ken, who had been an active member of Bethel Pentecostal Church allowed me to speak on his local TV program and on his local radio program in my early training steps. In fact, he introduced me to a couple who had become our mentors (Mel and Emaline Schrader, both gone on to be with the Lord) who eventually licensed us through the Pisgah Bible Teaching Association of Nova Scotia after a couple years of study under them.
Reverends Mel and Emaline Schraeder of the Pisgah Bible Teaching Association of Nova Scotia. These two persons had been responsible to training us up in ministry educationally through studies and testing’s to a point where they could grant us a Ministerial License. Through them and their organization we were able to have three other persons trained to become ministers.
Reverend Eugene (Moose) Lanctin (Gone to be with our great God) challenged me to speak at his French Baptist Church on many occasions over the years. Not only did I come to love him in ministry but I liked him from years gone past when he coached my son in hockey. That was long before I became saved at the age of 47. As a true man of God he is one I yet miss many, many years after his passing.
Reverend John Cyr and his wife, Jean, at that time (Both have since gone on to be with the Lord) facilitated our entry into the Victory Churches of Canada fold. Pastor John drew me out of my paralysis which prevented me from singing in public, especially in church. Eventually I had to learn a number of songs on guitar when our own music ministry at a church we had started up had to be stepped down. Pastor John and his wife, Jean, came to work with us in our own ministry for quite a time. After his wife Jean had passed on, Pastor John remarried. He and his new wife, Margaret, stayed with us to help our ministry for several years till he went to be with the Lord.
Reverend Steve McLean under the influence and recommendation of Pastor John Cyr in time accepted and facilitated the ordination of my wife Sarah and myself. Because of him and under him we ministered with Victory Churches of Canada for some 15 years in a small community on the North Shore of NB, Canada. Pastor Steve served as the Regional Director of Victory Churches in the Maritimes.
Reverend Silas Matchett, an evangelist mightily blessed of the Lord who led countless persons to Christ became a consultant for a time for our Victory Lighthouse ministry. His vast experience in dealing with troublesome boards and elders and their inhumane treatments of pastors proved invaluable. God used him immensely as his wisdom and knowledge brought sanity to our once wolf-driven board.
Reverends and Drs. George and Hazel Hill, founders of Victory Churches International, both influenced our lives and our ministries immensely. It had been under them and their international ministry we both had become ordained, all of which could not have been possible without the green light which Pastor Steve Mclean had turned on. There exists no ceiling to our love and appreciation of these two people of God. Their sound teachings permeated our ministry in a multitude of ways. When trouble arose, as it often did, we fell back on the teachings they had documented in one or more of their books. On several occasions we consulted with them by phone for counsel which required immediate attention. Yes, of course, they were always Scriptural and full of the wisdom of the Lord.
In summation, each one of the foregoing warrants a book of acknowledgements to provide an in depth account of their greatness in the survival and flourishing of our ministry. Thank You, Lord!

Missing Heaven On Purpose
Salmon grow up in the neighborhoods of their birth; then they venture out into the deep seas of experience. At a later age they return to the haunts of their youth to spawn. Deep within lie the mechanisms which insure that they do return to their respective rivers and streams. The instinctive drive is their purpose in life is to get back home to reproduce.
Expatriates of cities and towns across nations exhibit similar tendencies which necessitate repeated visits to the blocks of their birthplaces. A similar phenomenon occurs as they purpose to get back home. In so returning, it seems that a yearning is eased.
Throughout the fleeting years, another land, unbeknownst to us on a firsthand basis, summons each one to what some have come to know as an eternal home, a home where a heavenly Father awaits. Though we should not miss this everlasting’ home, many will.
The Bible explains why none should miss out on eternal life: "For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse (Rom. 1:20 NIV). God holds all responsible for what He has shown them of Himself in His creation.
Psalm 19:1 tells us that, "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Our purpose entails acknowledging God; however, that becomes sabotaged by our desire to go our own way (Is. 53:6 NIV).
In addition to that, God has sent His messengers in all seasons to further reinforce the truth of His existence, First He sent His Son to dicha and be the way (John 14:6 NIV). Then Jesus mentored followers and dispatched them to do likewise until today.
Jesus’ message promises an eternal home (John 14:2 NIV). No matter the medium of the message (written or spoken), deafened ears, dulled minds, blinded eyes— on purpose deny His words of truth.
Look around! Could you have invented the wheel? The clock? The light bulb? Vaccines? Radio? Somebody did. They had creators.
NOTES
The Blood
Whether the word blood
drums up an uncomfortable feeling or not — regardless of the context in which it is mentioned — the blood of many men and women saturated soils of foreign lands to purchase the freedom we know today as Canadians.
The politically correct vehemently campaign to enforce the employment of euphemistic terms in place of the term blood.
As a result, the fallen
of former wars laid down their lives for their families, friends and fellow countrymen. Or, they
met their maker" valiantly in foreign fields.
No matter the effort to soften sounds and to not bring to mind such terms as blood
Leviticus 17:11 NIV says, The life of each creature is in its blood.
It also says, Blood is life.
What’s the point? Long before the great wars of recent centuries God expressed His love for this world by giving His only Son so that whosoever would believe in Him would not perish eternally but could be reconciled unto Him through His Son Jesus (John 3:16 NIV). As you have heard, then, Jesus spilled his blood
(laid down his life) as the currency to be paid for anyone who would come to believe in Him.
Jesus, as given by the Father, agreed to come and die
so that all might come to believe and live eternally. He came to redeem mankind from his sins. That necessitated a price to be paid. He paid with His life through the shedding of His blood.
Revelation 5:9 NIV says, With your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.
That blood forgives the sins of all who repent and believe. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins
(Mt. 26:28 NIV). For you know that it was not with perishable things…that you were redeemed…but with the precious blood of Christ…
(1 Pet. 18:19 NIV).
Though many might not say it but live as though they will pay for their own sins — and thus scoff at the blood of Christ — they who scoff actually will. What is not realized let alone comprehended is that the Bible says: The wages of sin is death
(Rom. 6:23 NIV). In effect, our own blood has no purchasing power over our own souls.
Nothing but Jesus’ blood and save your soul. Believe!
NOTES
Designer Salvations
In modern times people continue to design their own salvation. In so doing, each individual deems his/her very own way of living as being adequate or close enough
to the qualifying requirements to insure their salvation. As a result, so many people think that everybody will end up in the same heaven no matter the variations in their own respective salvation blueprints.
Many believe in a supreme being;
some even call this being god.
Yet, most concepts of God are not configured to include His Son nor His Holy Spirit, and certainly not the Holy Bible.
A god of one person has but himself as one follower primarily because this god is self- designed. That others might serve a similar but different god means that each will have engineered his/her own salvation plan through that individually constructed god.
Such a design conjures up a god who will serve the man rather than the man/woman serving the god. In designer salvation people fabricate a god who will not only permit one’s preferred behaviors and lifestyle but will seemingly reinforce the same. This way and without being cognizant of it — man becomes the god and the created god serves the man.
Any and all of these designs of god and separate respective salvation designs may prove exciting and even entertaining for an entire lifetime, but they will not impress the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the next. Having heard of this God and not having served Him nor sought His salvation disqualifies one from His specific design of salvation.
As difficult as it might be to depart from a self-designed god with his inherent self- designed salvation, it can be done when one chooses to believe in the only Son that God the Father had (John 3:16 NIV).
God sent His only Son Jesus to be lifted up (John 12:32 NIV) to draw all people unto him. Whosoever would come to believe in Christ would be assured of a salvation to last for an eternity. Any other god offering any other salvation won’t carry a believer beware
caveat, though it should.
Jesus invites you to have faith in his plan of salvation rather than your own. Believe today and know that Christ is better at being the real Son of God than you are at being the son/daughter of.
NOTES
A Check-up from the Neck Up
Many companies have incorporated the practice of random urine analysis to insure that employees remain drug free. Face it; every worker deserves not only a sate work environment but also clearheaded and well-focused coworkers. For certain, the employer has a right to the same, seeing that he is paying for it all.
That a Christian has the mind of Christ
(1 Cor. 2:16 NIV) remains the right of Jesus to verify. Anybody who has come to Christ is supposed to be a new creation
(2 Cor. 5:17 NIV) and continue to be transformed …by the renewing of your mind
(Rom 12:2 NIV).
The old self, ways, bad habits, unsavory behaviors all are to be put off
of let go (Eph. 4:22 NIV). Each person is called to be made new in the attitude of his/her mind…
(Eph 4:23 NIV)
All of this is to say that one must be continuously be active in being transformed into Christ’s likeness (2 Cor. 3:18 NIV). Why? Philippians 2:5 NIV says, Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.
Followers of Christ endeavor in the power of Christ become holy and blameless in His Sight
(Eph 1:4 NIV).
Every morning before the student goes to school or the employee goes to work, he/she does a checkup from the neck up. One untangles the hair and brushes his teeth another adds eyeliner, eye- shadow, lipstick, rouge, and so forth. Looking good from the neck up is verified in the mirror.
The same can be practiced at regular intervals as well spiritually. Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith,
the Bible commands (2 Cor. 13:5 NIV). One must take his/her spiritual pulse. Christians must realize that Christ is in them …unless of course, they tail the test.
