About this ebook
Thank you to all the medical professionals, front-line workers during the COVID-19 Pandemic. You have helped to keep us moving forward in uncertain times.
Focusing on our priorities and learning to surrender and seek the good in all, despite the challenges, social unrest and turbulent times.
This book seeks to honor each generation and contributions that we all have individually to make this world a better and safer place by including excerpts from my intimate and personal journal entries during the Pandemic which occurred in 2019 and currently in 2021. This book seeks to inspire and reflect on our blessings and serves as a blueprint for the next generation of individuals who inspire to take action toward following their dreams in starting a business, maintaining it and working in mutual aide with other community entities to make our society better. As the founder of an organization I seek to promote tools, strategies and concrete skills to starting your own business and ways to maintain its longevity.

Behind My Mask
Behind my mask
Do you see me? Really see me?
Do you see my smile? Hesitant, yet frequently true.
Occasionally tilted when the news is not so good.
Yet I see yours, hesitant, yet frequently true.
Hopeful and scared at the same time.
Within gloves
Do you feel my hand? Really feel them?
Do you feel the squeeze? Gentle but tired.
Pulse racing with concern
Yet I feel your squeeze, gentle but tired
Grasping the only thing it can.
Dressed in medical garb
Do you recognize my body language? Really recognize?
Do you notice my shoulders shifting back, lifting my head higher
Trying to exude an air of confidence & strength
Yet I recognize yours, shoulders shifting back, lifting your head higher
Ready to take treatment or receiving the latest diagnosis.
Behind closed doors
Do you hear my pleas for more supplies?
Do you feel my helpless at watching you in pain?
Do you hear the slammed door? The bang of a kicked locker?
I hope…
I hope…
I hope…not.
I enter in with a false smile plastered behind my mask.
To render care as stoic as I know how.
While there you reach for my hands incased in gloves
And look at my face hidden by a mask
And you see me
You actually see me…
With your wise eyes…
Your eyes will not let me go before it has conveyed the message of trust.
Your grip loosens, your eyes clear and unguarded.
They too release me.
And in that release,
In that one moment
I truly see
