Provision for Vision

Provision for Vision is about the miraculous turnaround of a life heading for destruction. Author David Corby and his wife Yvonne, married for over thirty years, experienced a major descent in their relationship and fell deep into debt. Their marriage was saved by turning back to our Maker’s instructions for life. I then learned that in an effort to save their marriage, Dave and his lovely wife decided to put a vision board together depicting what they were believing God to do in their relationship and family. Once the vision was written down, God moved into action and supernaturally gave them provision for their vision. This book chronicles how God faithfully provided every step of the way on their healing journey. It will inspire and equip you to expect God to do the same for you! We wander through life engrossed in the daily trials and challenges.

If we turn back to our Maker He will help us create a vision. He will provide guidance for direction, comfort for pain, and the power we need to overcome adversity.

Then we will be working together in a common purpose with Him by our side.

FOREWORD

When an individual is transparent, they are revealing that they have nothing to hide and have become an open book. The person establishes themselves as an honest and credible person in the eyes of others. Being open and vulnerable can make anyone nervous, I have seen this in many individuals that I have counseled as a Pastor. Many people come into my office and ask for Spiritual Guidance but choose not to be open and transparent. They give only parts of their story and expect to walk out totally restored and whole.

There are so many experiences in our lives that have caused us to become the individuals we are today. A lot of what goes on in our childhood will influence how we become adults. How we walk and talk, our compassion towards others, the level of patience we develop and how deeply we love is all due to our childhood influences.

Facing the traumatic experiences and fears of our past can bring healing to those areas of our lives. This is exactly what you will find in the pages of this book. David and Yvonne have chosen to invite you to take a journey with them of healing and restoration. The story is one of transparency, inspiration and restoration. We see two individuals that made the difficult decision to face their fears in order for their family to become whole and restored.

As you read the pages of this book I would ask you to think about your life journey and how your experiences have molded you into the individual you are today. Taking the difficult steps that will change the course of your life is not easy but it is necessary. You will see as you read, that this is a daily process. Just as David explains the process of how he addressed those fears face to face and the commitment to surrender everything to God, so can you.

This book is not for those that think they have it all together but it is for those who have made the decision to no longer live a life of fear and past regrets. Being able to be part of the Corby’s journey and healing process was such a privilege and honor. I remember them sitting next to each other and not even wanting to get too close or hold hands. This brought back memories of my parents not wanting to have anything to do with each other. Growing up I had made a promise to myself never to allow that to happen to me. So, when I saw how distant David and Yvonne were I made a decision that I was going make sure that I would listen carefully to what the Holy Spirit wanted me to do in their lives.

My prayer was always, Holy Spirit you say He that lacks wisdom to ask and that you would give it unto them abundantly, so Holy Spirit we pray for wisdom and we ask that you would guide and lead us.

God Provided the Provision and through His Vision a new relationship was created.

If you have any sense of something beyond this physical world, then you will be able to connect to this story. You will find hope in the testimony and be encouraged to create a vision for yourself and your family. You will gain the strength to walk the path to its fulfillment.
