I Am Loved: A Doorway to Self-Love, New Perspectives, and Empowerment
()
About this ebook
In 2017, Michelle experienced a period in her life where she became mentally and physically depleted. Perfectionism, fear, guilt, and lack of self-love resulted in feeling disconnected from the joy of living. She suffered from fatigue and experienced many symptoms from an overtaxed nervous system. Nothing she tried healed the disconnection she felt, and Michelle realized she needed to look within. She knew she needed to go deep inside herself and learn self-love in order to heal and return to a place of balance.
Michelle turned to three different daily practices to connect to her inner life and gain wisdom. About six months on her path of healing, her journaling transformed into writing inspirational material for the first time in her life. The words would come to her in moments of stillness. Her healing journey was revealing an inner voice that she was not aware she had.
Her inspirational writings come from her Higher-Self, a place of unconditional love and acceptance. Her greatest desire is to share these writings with anyone who might resonate with them. She hopes her words inspire them along their inward journey to self-love, to their Higher-Self. It is here they can find within themselves peace of mind, unconditional love, and empowerment.

It was at this time that she learned how to access her Higher Self and was able to connect to self-love, inner peace, and joy at a level she had never known before.

Foreword
Many of us are devoted to the spiritual path. This path is a lifelong journey of working toward healing our emotional wounds. We are delving deep into our inner life and seeking out the person we truly are. Michelle takes us along on her path, sharing with us a way to find ourselves and to reconnect to self-love.
My sister’s words genuinely inspire me. I have so much love for her and admiration for the way she has overcome the self-imposed obstacles that blocked her path to healing. I witnessed the positive changes that resulted from her dedication to learning the lessons from A Course in Miracles, in addition to practicing daily meditation, journaling, and heavy doses of love and forgiveness!
There is no greater testament of what self-love can do than to see the metamorphosis of someone transmuting their emotional pain into a life full of inner peace and joy. The best part is when we take the ride with them. Thank you, Michelle, for helping us on our way!
May God’s Love and Light surround you and heal you each and every day.

Preface
I was born in Chicago in 1966 and lived in the state of Illinois until the age of twenty-six. In 1993, just eighteen months into my marriage and with our adored newborn daughter in tow, we moved to France, my husband’s native country. The following year, I gave birth to our second precious baby girl. I devoted the ensuing thirteen years to learning how to negotiate being an American wife and mother in a foreign culture, as well as managing six housing relocations spanning three different regions of France, most of them due to my husband’s career. Thanks to my sister, who regularly sent me supportive books from my homeland, this is where my spiritual path began.
In 2006, we followed my husband’s career to Vietnam, where I concentrated the next ten years on managing and organizing our family life in a dramatically different foreign environment. In addition, as our girls were getting older and more independent, I took the opportunity to learn and develop my own interests in health and well-being. It was in Vietnam, in the year of 2013, that I discovered the healing benefits of Reiki and over time earned my certification. This is a time in my life where I also learned meditation, and my spiritual practices continued and started taking root.
In 2016, my husband’s job was transferred, which brought us abruptly back to France, to the Parisian suburbs, where we started to build a new life. We rented a place at first, and six months later, we moved into an apartment we had purchased in a quaint town just outside of Paris. After having been in our new home for only a few months, my husband accepted an opportunity to work with a subsidiary company on a French island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Even though I was grappling for stability at this time of my life, we both enthusiastically accepted the opportunity.
I arrived on the island at the end of 2017, mentally and physically depleted after having met so many demands due to the three moves, two being intercontinental, over a fourteenth-month period. My husband worked very long hours, and my young adult daughters were now living in England, so I found myself alone most of the time. The fact that I was living on an island added to my already heightened feelings of solitude and isolation. This is where everything that I had learned so far on my spiritual path was not enough, and I realized that I had to go much deeper.
This all led me to my personal path of healing, self-love, and returning to a place of balance. I felt that if I did not consciously choose to implement positive ways of thinking and much-needed self-love, I would eventually become ill. I was already experiencing extreme fatigue and oversensitized nerves. None of my usual relaxation practices and nothing outside of me was helping anymore, so I turned to the only place left I could go, inward. I began my personal inward journey on January 1, 2018, and I promised to do three things for myself for a solid year. One, I would practice the daily, perspective-correcting exercises from A Course in Miracles workbook, no matter what. Two, I would meditate every day, with no exceptions. Three, I would write in a daily journal to track my progress and to record my thoughts, dreams, and insights.
It took a while before I felt any substantial relief or saw tangible changes in my life, but I remained dedicated nonetheless. Slowly and with many ups and downs, I made progress and finally felt some relief. Six months had passed when, around July, I started expressing myself through writing inspirational material. At about the same time, I had a heartfelt desire to share my writings. I began sending daily inspirations to a small group of female family members that I felt would be open to them. I wrote words of love, support, forgiveness, and ease. These inspirational words, I knew on some level, were meant more for me than for them. They were loving words that I needed to hear.
In October 2018, I decided to organize my daily inspirations
