The Trilogy One Human's Evolution Through Poetry: One Human's Evolution Through Poetry
()
About this ebook
She studied many religions, philosophies, and the ideas of the great thinkers. By the 1990s she was formulating her life as only the artistic heart can do. From sculpture to charcoal drawing, to poetry, singing, and journaling, she found a place inside that she could connect to and a feeling of freedom to be herself. The inspiration comes from her children, her ideals, and her profound interest in humanity, and the course of events that continue to alter and affect her direction. Persistence has become her motto, gratitude her daily practice, and a pointed focus on the minutiae of energy that allows change into each day.
Marilyn Morrison
Marilyn began writing poetry as a therapy of sorts. It started as a journaling process and then each journal entry turned into a poem of hope and sincere soul searching. As the years passed the poetry became a means of understanding herself and accepting her life as a struggle but also as a gift.

This book of poetry is dedicated to all the people,
and there have been many, who taught me to think,
to question, and to be honest with myself.
I am blessed to have had so many Angels in
my life. And to my daughters, who have been
my inspiration from their very first breath.

About the Author
Preface
This book is a collection of poetry written from 1993 through 2020. Each section was created based on my journey to understand myself, my life, and my spiritual path.
Sometimes written in desperation, sometimes with careful thought, and other times with humor. Every decade brought me closer to a deeper understanding through drawing, singing, and poetry.
My life has become a labor of love to myself, my journey, and my understanding of humanity so I can put the past behind me and work toward peace for myself and others.
Over the years I have studied bodywork, yoga, Tai Chi, and many other forms of therapy, including talk therapy. However, I believe my artful heart was always the instigator of learning and desire to reach above for a deeper look at my own humanness.
I hope you enjoy these poems and allow them to speak to you as well. In the end, we are simply human beings struggling to reach a peaceful and satisfying life while at the same time allowing each of us to share our personal journey with others.
Introduction
In my fiftieth year, as part of an intense three-year soul-searching journey that altered my life completely, I set out on a path of healing my heart. After graduating from Kennesaw State College with a degree in Communications, I decided the corporate environment was not for me.
Following my heart into many therapies, I decided to go to Colorado and study the bodywork of Dr. Ida P. Rolf. This awareness, of not only my own body, but that of my clients led me to a path I could not have anticipated. Bodywork practice led me to yoga which in turn led me to teacher training. Yoga led me to meditation and eventually to India.
The journey back into my heart has been a 25-year journey from the outside world to
