Mother’s Mercy
42152.png(A poem dedicated to my mother)
My mother’s delicate voice still echoes in my mind,
Through her daily struggles, she bears her cross.
My job is never done
is what she’d say all the time,
She gracefully survives her daily struggles with calm thoughts.
She possesses the epitome of strength, being mother as father,
Her strength continuously empowers her mistakes.
A lone woman providing for four daughters,
Her resiliency does not welcome too many breaks.
Even when her life seems to be falling apart,
Her tears of joy are visible in the darkness of the night.
Her compassion and integrity represent her hopeful heart,
She’d often say, With God, mommy will be alright
.
I will always pay homage
To her love, care and unbeatable strength,
I am her blessing and she is mine too.
I am thankful for her unending sacrifices.
Father’s Faith
42152.png(A poem dedicated to my father)
My father’s gruff voice echoes from time to time,
As he’d utter, I will do what I have to do
No guide and role models to offer peace of mind,
Through his challenging role, he remained true.
His nurturing way is proof he was raised by a remarkable mother,
Naturally, he knew how to play bat and ball
He spent time learning to be father as mother,
He humbly embraced how to play dolls.
Though his demeanor was serious as a judge,
He found ways to embrace all of fatherhood
But he’d never openly expressed his love,
Did he have a lot to say but was easily misunderstood?
I will always commend him,
For his character of a hustler’s ambition.
I am his prized blessing
I honor his unending sacrifices.
