About this ebook

Scattered Thoughts is a poetry book that reflect every day circumstances. I wanted to write a poetry collection of different emotions, thoughts and feelings surrounding these circumstances. Life happens unexpected as a teenager becomes a young mother; Broken and unbroken love between individuals, crimes occur at any time resulting in senseless death. During these times we must turn to our spiritual thought as spiritual beings. Scattered Thoughts combine everyday situations and events under one book to include what we love: Christianity, food, friends, and family.

I am just a Texan girl in my Southern world. Poetry has been my inspirations since the passing of my mother at a very young age. Never did I imagine how it affect my life in a positive way and I am forever grateful for the experience. My life story and accomplishments are what motivates me through my book journey. I am a mother and I am married to my best friend who helps me accomplish my dreams. Please check out my new book.

    Scattered Thoughts

You are scattered and all over the place, my child

It is time to slow down and relax for a while

No need to distance yourself any longer

Just know that with time, you will get stronger

The day is almost over and may seem shorter to some

If people only knew your history and where you came from

In a single household all you had was your mother

As you became older, you went and search for love from another

Breakups and heartaches are normal at your age

This is the time to move on and give our God the praise

As you are now complete and full of joy

You are no longer a child playing with your toys

Don’t look at all the materialistic things you just bought

Steer away from the scattered thought

The nonsense will only lead you astray

As you were taught better you know when and where to pray

    Living for today

Are you living the day fulfilled with joy or do you expect more?

Forgetting that time flies and eventually our bodies become sore

You don’t get a notice when your body is full of pain

When it gets harder to move around

    And only yourself to blame

Why do you think that the day isn’t promise to the infant baby?

Who mother left her alone and she’s now considered a maybe

There are times when you just want to walk away

There are nights when you kneel and forget to pray

Sometimes the grass is greener on the other side

And light brown in someone’s eyes

What do you tell the little boy who sees his mother cries at night?

What do you tell the hardworking man who don’t know if tomorrow will be alright?

Remind him that he is also living for today

Help him to remember to get on his knees at night and pray

    40840.png

He did it, why can’t you

How can you just sit still when you know what he did?

The lies and deceit, the tears and the pain

Knowing that he was never truthful and there’s no one to blame

The fact that you trusted him more without meaning or cause

Acknowledging that he was right when you know he was wrong

Tell the truth moving on so that the pain can dissolve

Help the next woman eager for a pause

Taking all your ambitious and hard work, leaving you nothing to gain

Tell the world, it was a mistake so the years can fast forward without the pain

When it rains o yes it pours so be prepared
