    INTRODUCTION

IT IS MY HOPE THAT I can help my readers to understand the deeper meaning of life. I have been given the remarkable gift of automatic writing, and I use it to enlighten humanity about everything from the discovery of Spirit Selves, to Spirit communication and reincarnation. These writings are an autobiography of my life in my younger years and of my experiences with paranormal activities.

    An Inspirational Start

In July 1995, I happened to listen to several TV episodes of On the Other Side. I heard the median James Van Praagh communicate with Spirits, and I was fascinated with George Anderson who communicated with those who passed over by using automatic handwriting. What happened that night in July was a very uncommon dialogue that still continues today. I decided to try automatic handwriting myself.

    Time and Opportunity

I had time and opportunity to devote to this mystery, as I recently semi-retired from my teaching profession. I eagerly desired to try this phenomenon. I started by sitting alone in a quiet place. I knew it was necessary to repeat a protection prayer. I wanted to communicate with my Higher Spirit Self, not just any spirit who happened by. I repeated the Unity Protection Prayer: THE LIGHT OF GOD SURROUNDS ME, THE LOVE OF GOD ENFOLDS ME. THE POWER OF GOD PROTECTS ME. THE PRESENCE OF GOD WATCHES OVER ME. WHEREVER I AM, GOD IS.

    Communication Begins

I clearly stated aloud, "I want to communicate with my Higher Spirit Self" What followed was only short of amazing and quite mystifying. My hand remained poised over the paper as if held there by some invisible force. Then it began moving on its own. I decided to flow with it. "If you hear me move the pencil up for yes, down for no and to the side for I don’t know." The slightest movement enabled me to know the forthcoming answer. With each communication I got better and better.

    Practice Makes the Master

Now, when I sit down with pencil and pad, my Higher Spirit Self writes sentences in correct English. The messages come slowly, methodically at first, then more rapidly with each session. I am not writing as much as taking dictation. I believe that the messages are imparted by a super consciousness or Higher Self which has contact with all knowledge through a sort of all-pervading E.S.P. My Spirit Self revealed that she tried to contact me for years, but she said, "You never listened."

    Advancement and Progress

I have advanced to receiving messages by a movement of the index finger of my right hand. "Yes" – as if the index finger was reaching for the Y key of the typewriter. "No"- as if the index dinger was reaching for the N key on the typewriter. In this manner, I can talk to my Spirit Self anywhere, anytime without a pad and pencil. Wherever I go I can think such questions as "Are there any Spirits here?" If I get an answer from my index finger, I can ask further. Is it a man or woman, Is she/he over there or there? Is it safe to communicate with him/her?

    Your Loving Spirit

What exists within you is a loving spirit presence just waiting for you to allow it to emerge. This Truth will eventually become an enjoyable feeling of freedom. There is a feeling of inner glow when we are on the right path. The reward and knowledge that I gained from my Higher Spirit Self has been an amazing adventure

    Chapter l

This chapter contains many conclusions about the Spirit world. It contains the knowledge I gained from countless communications with automatic writing.

    Chapter 2

I devoted a chapter to my Brother-in-law Marvin. As a Spirit, Marvin had endured extreme frustration when no humans would talk to him or acknowledge his existence. He traveled from one family member to another in hopes one of us would know of his existence. On one of his visits I communicate with him. He was so surprised and happy. He gladly lived with us for several years.

    Chapter 3

This chapter is about my brother, David, who went directly to Heaven after his passing. Unlike Marvin’s earthly experiences, David reveals his amazing experiences in Heaven. He also provides many answers to thought provoking questions that have long been perplexing to mankind.

    Chapter 4

This chapter tells what I learned about reincarnation and more about my own reincarnations. It relates some of the great religious theories about this mystery.

    Chapter 5

A trip to Colorado Springs is necessary to help our daughter, Janet with her many marital problems. We were concerned parents and did what we could to help her.

    Chapter 6

We meet Spirit Roberta and ask her to live with us.

    Chapter 7

Mother celebrates her 100 year birthday with her doctor. She is reunited with Uncle Joe who helps her with her transition.

    Chapter 8

We take a wonderful trip to Hawaii. See if you can relate to the places we visited.

I do not claim to know all the answers. I can only attest that the vivid descriptions of the afterlife imparted through these automatic writings are not products of my conscious knowledge. The material collected here provides several fascinating details about existence on the other side, as well as persuasive grounds for belief in the immortality of the soul.

It is my hope you will better understand the Spirit world, so you will be able to make more valid choices when the time comes for you to pass over. But more importantly, I hope you will be enabled to live the life God gave you on this earth with more knowledge, reverence and appreciation.

The message I received many times was, Enjoy this life. Compared to eternity, it is very short.

This is a stroll down memory lane, and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have. Do come along with me!!

    CHAPTER ONE

Contacting The Higher Self And Conclusions

THIS WAS ONE OF MANY magical evenings Mike and I had together that proved so precious to us. I was in the family room together with Mike viewing television. While we were watching Diagnosis Murder that Mike had taped earlier that afternoon, Mike sat across from me, but close enough that we touched hands several times during the program. As the mystery ended, Mike turned off the TV and glanced at me, Would you like a cup of sleepy time tea? Sure, I answered with a smile. I continued with, Your turn or mine? Sit still. I will make it this time. I may as well spoil you more than you are, Mike laughed as he sauntered into the kitchen.

In the quietness of the evening, while Mike was making us some tea, I thought to myself, These are indeed our golden years together. How nice it is to be semi-retired. During the last few months I had noticed a unique and welcomed change in both our personalities that occurred after we retired. As we gradually turned the work of the business over to our son and the other employees, Mike began to pay more attention to me, almost to the point of obsession. It was as if Mike was afraid of losing me. Mike would often ask, Where are you going? What are you doing? A penny for your thoughts. Other women might have felt smothered by having such attention lavished upon them, but I felt differently.

    Joan’s first marriage

My thoughts raced to my first marriage partner. The first eight years of my married life I was married to Jim. There are many kinds of loneliness, but living with somebody, who says, Don’t touch me. You make me nervous. This was for me the worst kind of ache. To lie in bed next to somebody and not be able to touch that person, not to talk and share the little things in life is worse than having no one at all. I yearned to have him give me some attention, to put his arm around me and tell me that he loved me. He never did, and the marriage ended in a torrent of struggle and anxiety.

One day I came home to find Jim gone and the money with him. All that was left of my broken marriage was a string of debts and two beautiful children John, two years and Janet, 3 months. At one time, I loved Jim. However, it was wonderful to be rid of the weight of insecurity and unhappiness caused by his coldness. If I had to go through the pain and sadness of that time again in order to have my son and daughter, I would do it gladly.

    Living with Mike

Soon after Mike and I were married, Jim disappeared, and Mike adopted John and Janet. He was always proud to raise the children as his own. During our married life, Mike worked especially hard with John, and they became involved together in many activities. Mike volunteered to become the local Cub Scout Master for 5 years, Scout Master for 3 years, member of the Training Wheels Family Motorcycle Club, model plane builder and archery enthusiast.

It is during these later years, when John began to work for us, that Mike and John’s relationship is being strained to the max. It is very difficult for Mike to give John any control of our engraving/sheet metal shop, even in his state of semi-retirement. The shop will always be mine, and he’ll do what I tell him. Mike often loudly declares. This has led to many arguments and unhappy moments on my part, as I seem always to be placed in a position between the two people that I love. I have tried many times, to no avail, to be The great peace maker. I have made up my mind. From this day forward, I will try to keep Mike away from the shop while John is there. I believe this is the best anecdote.

Such a difference in both our lives", I concluded, as my thoughts returned to the events of the day, and I smiled at Mike as he handed me the cup of tea. A penny for your thoughts, Mike asked softly, glancing up at me. I answered with, "I was just thinking of how much our lives have changed since we were married."

    Mike’s first marriage

Mike, too, had a bad first marriage. After he and his family were granted visas in Germany to come to the United States, Mike became a trip ticket for his first wife. She pretended to love him, was unfaithful to him, and she used him for eight years until she got what she thought she wanted.

Mike came from Hungary with his family

    _2.jpg

Mike often told me about how he survived 82 bomb attacks in Hungary during the 2nd World War. When he and his family arrived in the United States, they had just two suitcases as their own. I am sure, that is why our marriage means so much to Mike and why he would be devastated if we ever broke up. Mike’s Mother and Father are gone now, and his only sister lives far away. His appreciation of the little things in life always gives me a keen sense of amazement. I am sure; he knows how lucky he is to be alive

That evening Mike was the first one to get undressed and into bed, and he turned out the lights. In the darkness, I started to grope my way down the hall when he must have heard me. He turned on the lamp by his side of the bed so I could see.

After I climbed into bed, Mike reached over, pulled on my left shoulder and tenderly kissed me Good night. "If anything happened to one of us during
